I hate the DPOY award because it always seems to go to shot blockers and I think there are better measures of defense.

Babb should have won last year, some of his shut down games were ridiculous.

Embiid's aren't just blocked shots. How many shots did Niang & Ejim hurry and end up missing because they knew he was coming? How many guards had to pull up and shoot a jumper from 10' instead of going to the rim? Kansas is getting exposed without him because he's one of the best defensive game changers in college basketball.

Remember when that KU troll said this? Good times.

Well, at least Kansas made a game of it. The good news is that Wiggins probably just wrapped up Big 12 POY. What a performance.

HE GOT IT!!

Super happy for Mel. DeAndre deserved it as well, but glad to see Mel rewarded.

EFF YEAH, MELVIN! So happy for him. Could not have happened to a better player. I would have loved if Kane would have gotten it too, but Melvin was here for a lot longer. Stronger attachment for me. Way to go Melvin!

Smart could make an argument .

I agree. He got punished more for missing three games (via suspension) than Embiid did for missing three games (via injury). I guess that's somewhat fair, but somewhat not. Although, I think Wiggins impacted KU's defense in B12 play more than Embiid.
