It has been for Rhoads. That's not really debatable with the facts. When he beats the FCS team, he has a decent season. When he doesn't, he has a train wreck.

If he loses to UNI, can him or cane him. Either way is fine with me.

So we have had decent seasons, except for the last two. Glad that you clarified that.

So K-State should have fired Snyder after they lost to NDSU in 2013? Was it a barometer for the whole season?

No Synder's first 20 years in Manhattan were the barometer. Are you really comparing CPR and Snyder? Snyder could go 0-12 next year and have every K State fans confidence.

If only you were a K-State fan that would not be the case.

CPR will coach the full season next year. I will bet money on it. Or whatever. That is not delusion. That is reality. You are being delusional.

When did I say he wouldn't?

He will but it won't be due to his being a good coach in any fashion in the past 2 years.

Paul is playing conservative today. Trying to run the game out with the least amount of damage.

I'd say the only 2 seasons with a team comprised ENTIRELY of CPR's players, the guys he brought in to run his system would be a much better representation of the program than the "decent" (all but 1 season under .500) seasons when he coached Chiziks guys.

No doubt about it.
The only climb he deserves would be up the stairs to clean out the office.

I'm on your side really but can we please stop using bowl losses to make a season look worse? going 6-6 and losing a bowl and calling that a losing season is disingenuous.

I get what you're saying, but then it would also be fair to say Rhoads has never had a winning season, correct? Given bowl games don't count, can't count the Insight Bowl win as a "winning season."

That season doesn't count anyway. CPR had Mac's players and Chizik's players on that team. So CPR gets no credit for that season. You haven't been following the thread or received the talking points of CPR haters.

So let's say that CPR does get fired after next year, and we get a new coach. Do you disregard winning seasons for that new coach for as long as there are CPR recruits on that roster?

The new coach will subtly state the cupboard is bare and it will take three or more years to right the ship.

So, does Chizik get credit for the 7 wins in 2009? Or do we split half between McCarney and Chizik? Or divided based on percentage of the recruits on the roster between McCarney, Chizik, and Rhoads?

If we cannot blame him for dropped passes or fumbles...........he certainly cannot get credit for when they do well.

New coach does not need to say that. You guys have been saying that constantly.

But what happens if that new coach wins and has a winning season. Do we get on the message boards and start posting that this new coach is just winning with CPR's players?

IMO, the success CPR had his first season had more to do with the easy schedule that we played. We did not play Texas, Oklahoma, or Texas Tech that year. And we had 4 non-conference games.
