Well you're probably going to get your wish. And I’d rather not go to ****** Houston. Everyone had an opinion.
Yeah, we'd see a lot less grumbling if we knew we were going to be playing an SEC team.I have no problem at all with the Liberty Bowl, just not playing Memphis on their home field.
I think Okie St. will be in Orlando. ISU to Memphis is my guess. If that happens, does that mean ISU is back in play for Orlando? Assuming Houston would take OSU/Texas. Would Camping World select ISU over OSU/Texas (since there won't be a ND/Texas matchup)?
A Memphis radio guy on twitter is guessing Memphis vs. WVU in the Liberty
Not going to happen but $EC gets generous, fills the Belk and Liberty bowls leaving open a spot in the Music City bowl for an Ia vs Ia St rematch.
Maybe we should've just gone 5-7 and we wouldn't have to worry about any of this.
Jesus Christ people. We haven't been to a bowl game in 5 years. 4 months ago we'd have all been thrilled to know 8-5 was an option.
Dumbass, pollard was preparing us for thd liberty but you can bet he is advocating for us.
Yeah, why would the Liberty bowl not want a Mizzou/ISU matchup? There's tons of story lines there and there would probably be more fans for that game than ISU/Memphis. Not to mention the amount of money coming into the city.I think Okie St. will be in Orlando. ISU to Memphis is my guess.
Auburn/Georgia - CFP
Alabama - Orange
Alabama/Georgia - Peach
S. Carolina - Citrus
After that for the SEC, you have these bowls are picked by teams in the conference in no order
Here are eligible SEC teams
- The Outback Bowl versus Big Ten
- The TaxSlayer Bowl versus ACC or Big Ten
- The Music City Bowl versus ACC or Big Ten
- The Texas Bowl versus Big 12
- The Belk Bowl versus ACC
- The Liberty Bowl versus Big 12
LSU, Miss St., Missouri, Kentucky, A&M
There are rumors that Texas refuses to play against A&M and Mizzou due to being former B12 members.
My guess is LSU to the Outback Bowl
A&M to the TaxSlayer Bowl
Miss St. to the Texas Bowl
Which leaves Mizzou, Kentucky, for nashville, memphis, and charlotte.
Payouts for all 3 bowls:
Music City: 2.75 million
Liberty: 2.4 million
Belk: 1.75 million
It seems from a conference perspective, that you would want Kentucky to Music City and Mizzou to Memphis.
Of course, the Liberty Bowl could throw a fit and tell the SEC to fill the Belk Bowl instead, but the SEC is not obligated to I think.
TLDR; hope the SEC sticks it to Memphis and sends Mizzou instead.
My post went right over your head cause that was the exact point. Selling a line of BS to prepare us for it.
So some like the warmer weather and opponent of Houston, but the shorter drive to Memphis. Is there really nothing to do in Houston? Just asking, cuz haven't looked into it. Can't believe all those different sites of bowl projections hardly even mentioned us for the Liberty Bowl last week. Still can't see who jumps TCU to get into the NY6.
