Michigan will move up a few spots based on who they beat. They're in no danger of being left out. Even though tOSU isn't what they were, they're still 10-2, and they're still Michigan. After Alabama, they're as close to a sure BCS bet there is.

Right now...who has Michigan beat that would move them up a few spots in front of any team currently ranked 1-14? #16 Nebraska...a non-ranked ND team early on in a close one at home? A 6-6 Buckeye team in a squeaker at home? It is going to take some upsets in the 1-14 to get them in.

Sorry man...but listening to a Mizzou fan try to break down bowl projections is comical. What bowl is your drinky-Pinkle team heading to...the Cotton Bowl?

I believe the Big 12 has agreements with 7 bowls. 7 teams are eligible, so it appears we will be going to one of the bowls with a big 12 tie in. Kind of a Bummer because the bowl in St. Petersburg would of been nice because I've never been to Florida.

We have 8 eligible

Who are they going to pass ahead of them after this weeks' win against Ohio State?

#14 Mich State - They took down Northwestern fine, shouldn't pass them
#13 Georgia - Beat another top 25 team, no way
#12 South Carolina - Took care of #17 team, no way
#11 Kansas State - Was idle, already ahead of them in humans (computers no change)
#10 Oregon - Took care of business

And anyone above that they obviously aren't going to pass up...

Michigan should not and will not move up in the standings this week because of their win over an unranked Ohio State team..

georgia will lose to LSU then fall out of the top 15

Wisconsin beats Michigan State and moves them ahead of Michigan, while Michigan State also falls out of Top 14. Leaves Wisconsin as only B1G team in Top 14 & only team eligible for BCS game.

Like I said before, Michigan playing no more games is going to hurt them and they will not end up in Top 14... Although Iowa State beating K-State could make it interesting once again, but Baylor beating Texas could make a case for jumping ahead of Michigan too. Either way, I'll stick with my thoughts that Michigan will not finish in top 14.

God i hope youre right. Send Michigan to the Capital One bowl to get blasted 56-14 again by the SEC (Arkansas?).

You don't think LSU beating Georgia will create a spot for Michigan? It most certainly will.

That's right...EVERY team from 1-14 is going to win out. Even the ones that play each other.

How far does OU drop with a loss next week? And what about #13 Georgia? Do THEY have any difficult games left? Maybe just one...

Seriously, stop paying attention to my handle and just look at the BCS rankings. You let your hatred of all things Big 10 and Iowa cloud your judgment.

What about a Baylor beating Texas? The computers think Baylor is much better than Michigan and with a win over a Top 30 team the computers will stretch that margin out even more. With Michigan idle while Baylor wins you will likely see them move up, even if they don't pass Michigan and only get within a couple of spots the computer ranking should be enough to move them in front.

Once this weeks' standings come out we can see just how much this win over Ohio State helps them, but for now I'll stand my ground in thinking they don't break the top 14 being idle in the final week.

Oklahoma losing to Oklahoma State will not drop them anywhere Michigan, unless it is an outright dreadful loss and human polls drop them big.

Georgia I can see dropping below Michigan, however like I've said before I believe with Michigan remaining idle and others around them playing they will not make the top 14 cut.

I'm looking at the BCS rankings...I could care less about your handle and I don't have a bias against the B1G. Wisconsin blasted #19 Penn State today...IMO that should move them ahead of Michigan. Then you'll have 2 B1G teams in before Michigan to take over for your Georgia or OU prediction. Personally, those aren't the games I would be worried about.

I suggest you look at the BCS rankings as well and let your hatred of all things Big 12 cloud your judgment.

We're talking about 2 different things. Nobody cares who I think DESERVES a BCS bowl bid (for the record, I'd take both Alabama and Arkansas as at-large teams). I'm telling you what I think will happen.

They'll break #14, and they'll definitely get a BCS invite. Probably the Sugar Bowl.

Mizzou guy is right, even if wisconsin passes Michigan(which I think they will) that puts them at 16, but Michigan will pass the loser of msu/wisky and pass Georgia when they lose to LSU. Somebody behind Michigan(other then wisky)would have to pass them for them to not be top 14. Baylor might have a shot, but they already are ahead of them in the computer rankings I don't see them getting anymore seperation there. Everyone else behind them that's close will also be idle. So if LSU beats Georgia Michigan should finish 14th.

EDit: Check that If Clemson beats vtech. That possibly could push michigan out of top 14. But I think Michigan might pass v-tech then. It would be close
