Bubu Palo charged with sexual assault

Bit difficult to find irony in anything related to sexual assault charges. Glad to see Fred get ahead of this and suspend the kid until more information is brought forward

First off Spencer isn't a bad kid. Officer spoon deserved what he got.

Yeah, i don't care what the cop did to make Mr. Cruise angry at him, if you do all this, you're a special kind of *******.

Police said the man responsible for the party resisted arrest. During the attempt to arrest SpencerCruise, 18, police said he "shoved the officer against a wall and began to choke the officer." The officer also attempted to use a Taser on Cruise.

"Mr. Cruise then basically was able to pick the officer up and body slam him," said Ames police Commander Mike Brennan.
He said Cruise, a recent graduate of Ames High School was a linebacker on the football team and outsized the officer. Brennan said Cruise took the officer's Taser and attempted to use it on him. In response, the officer drew his gun in self-defense.

If this is all ultimately true and theyre guilty, maybe its a shame the officer didn't fire the weapon.

I'm all for throwing the book at him if he did this, there should be zero tolerance for sexual assault, but the guy deserves to have his side of the story heard too. Not accusing this girl of doing it, but there are a good number of false accusations out there, and the attitude that just being charged should be punishable is part of the problem with our system right now (i would favor a shield law just like we have for victims until the defendant is proven guilty, for just that reason).

I know fred will do the right thing. I think suspension pending legal results would be in order, and then if he's guilty it won't even be in our hands anymore anyways (but if it were, obviously the answer would be getting the boot)

You are apparently new to the board. Reserving judgement isn't how things work around here. There is no such thing as waiting until the facts come out, it's guilty until proven innocent.

First off Spencer isn't a bad kid. Officer spoon deserved what he got. Second, I've heard the sa charges weren't true. But then again I heard from people that they are true too. not trying to defend anyone, just saying let the judicial prices play itself out before we make judgment.

Simply because he's a felon doesn't mean he is a bad guy. Just makes some bad decisions. If these allegations are true, which I have heard conflicting stories on then that is something that makes you a bad person and I expectbubu to be kicked off the team. Let the process play out

That really only means that sex took place. Still have to prove it was against her will, and DNA wont do that.

To play devil's advocate, DNA evidence doesn't necessarily imply that something was assault, depending on other evidence it could, but it doesn't have to.
