Yes.

I have a feeling we are going to see a lot more of him over the next few years... if he doesn't leave (sorry -> Coach Mac... had to say it).

he impressed me by taking it to the rack on his first time out against Iowa.

although there could be a list of reasons why he isn't seeing more pt yet that we aren't privy to. But I think it's be a valid question to pose on the call in show.

should be starting ahead of Peterson.

Peterson does not have a lot of skills, but in several games this year he has been the only guy that looked like he belong on the floor and the only guy giving his all. DG, unfortunately, is the guy that has had some real questionable play at times. Mostly I think he just needs a few less minutes a game and Buckley should take those.

I loved what buckley did during the Iowa game. I hope we see a lot more of him. We need players with his skill set on the floor.

DG can not handle it at this level as a soph. He needs more time to gain some control to his game. He can not shoot a long range or a mid range shot. Defenders are just slacking off of him enough so he can not beat them off the dribble. Even when he does beat someone he struggles to finish a shot.

I would like to see Diante and Buckley split time in the next game, just to see what the competition would do for both of them. I also don't want to see them both on the court at the same time until one of them develops a jumper as good as Petey's....then they can take some of his minutes.

I agree with CyCloned...Petey has been very valuable at times this year. He may be outmatched skill-wise, but he does the little things we need.

he scored 4 straight points against Iowa last week, I think his time has come. He's getting it down now.

Four straight points? haha. That just sounds funny. He made two lay-ups in a row, and now everybody thinks he should be taking minutes from our leading rebounder.

Seriously, though. I like what I've seen out of Buckley. He talks a lot on defense, which tells me he "gets it". Early on, he didn't show a lot of confidence with the basketball.

He looked improved in his limited minutes on Friday night. McDermott mentioned as much during his presser yesterday. That he has looked better and better each week as the scout team PG. And that he hadn't really been rewarded for that yet.

I would expect to see him start playing more minutes in the rest of these non-conference games. At that point, GMac may be able to determine if he's ready to log some major minutes against Big XII competition...

this team is not going ot the NCAA's let the freshman play, Peterson can come off the bench and settle things down if needed. Let the kid learn on the job.

You and I must be watching different games. The way i see it, Petey is the MVP of this team so far this season. And the main reason we hung with Iowa as long as we did. If everyone on this squad played as hard as he did, we might have only one loss right now.

I wasn't high on Petey last year, but he has been solid at the 2 position this year.
