I am going all out with a silly one here. Before anyone says that I don't have a point guard in my starting lineup, between White running the point forward and Hornacek being able to bring the ball up, I would say everything is fine. Here we go:

C - Kelvin Cato ($1)
PF - Craig Brackins ($2)
SF - Jeff Grayer ($5)
SG/PG - Jeff Hornacek ($4)
PG/Point Forward - Royce White ($3)

That would be a ridiculously fun roster to watch! If you were to give us a budget for the bench as well, that would make things super interesting!

I'm sorta surprised Grayer isn't on everyone's team. ISU's all time leading scorer. I don't know how you can't find a spot for him in a starting 5.

ANY all time Iowa State team starts with him. He's the best player to ever play here.

Lots of kids here, I'm assuming.

Yeah, I think I was in the womb when Grayer started playing at ISU. But, those Tinsley/Fizer teams were much better than the Grayer teams so I'd rather spend the $$ on those guys. Plus, right or wrong, I view the frontcourt and PG positions as more valuable positions than wing players.

Cato is undervalued.

I'd take Georges, monte, dedric, brackins, and Cato.

Dedric over Royce strictly for 3 point shooting.

This is exactly who I'd take - and with the way Monte is a mismatch for nearly any PG that would oppose him, Royce being a total ball handling up the court would still be awesome but not totally necessary. Meanwhile, Willoughby was a total lights out 3pt shooter who would have totally thrived in Hoiberg's offense.

Niang over Fizer because while Fizer was a total monster in the lane, Niang was a total mismatch for nearly anyone defending him and you can add Cato to be a monster in the lane at a complete bargain.

$5 Georges Niang
$4 Monte Morris
$3 Dedric Willoughby
$2 Craig Brackens
$1 Kelvin Cato
