Well at least it won't be as cold this weekend as it has been. The forecast looks to be pretty optimal considering the time of year. My biggest suggestion would be go with a group, also wear plenty of layers (even though it will be nicer, it will still be cold), and bring some extra socks in a waterproof container. It may rain and there is nothing worse than cold/wet socks. Have fun and good luck!!

A lot of the campers brought mini-gens. Bathroom facilities might be an issue if the AD isn't expecting campers. IIRC they provided Kaybos for the campers last year. Nothing happening in Hilton on Friday, so they will probably allow camping.

Take non-electronic entertainment (beyond alcohol). Cards, poker chips, portable board games. Camping chairs. Water.

Have fun, keep it clean...and remember to pick up your mess afterward!

Are you a mom?
Because when I read your post it sounded like my mother was talking to me, especially the last paragraph. Haha

Alright freshie, sit down and listen.

I would suggest bringing everything you need and making sure it can fit in a backpack or several. Or in the most optimal case, have a friend who ain't going to the game or camping to pull up and shove it all in their car. There is an outside outlet by the stairs and sometimes they are mad about you using it, other times they don't care. If you're gonna bring an extension cord, BRING A FREAKING POWER STRIP.

If they have a security guard there, they will let you leave to use the bathroom and that is about it. They'll send you to the back if you're doing something else. Though some security guards don't care. Befriend them if you're in the front.

Tent would be useful. You can rent one from State Gym for like $5 a day or something like that. That is what I did because I wanted my own personal tent when I was waiting with friends.

For food, someone will probably buy you food one way or the other. One time it was Pollard, another it was Rhoads (for a football game), another it was Hoiberg, another was some random on here. Otherwise, delivery places are your friend. BRING A TRASHBAG FOR YOUR ****. DON'T LITTER. IT IS ANNOYING TO SEE PEOPLE LITTER AND IT'S DISRESPECTFUL.

Alcohol, I suggest being sneaky, over the age of 21, and smaller bottles for concealment purposes. You can figure this out for yourself.

Bring cards or something to do that doesn't require electricity. You'll need it.

Guilty as charged. Worse than that, I'm the grandmother of 16 (the oldest of which is older than the OP).

I can't help it...comments like that are compulsive for mothers! :)

Remember the good old days of camping at Hilton or CY Stephens for concert tickets?
-17 camping the night for Eric Clapton tickets.

I thought they were opening Hilton so you could "camp" inside while waiting for tickets. Or are people camping outside to be first in line to camp inside?

The way I understand it is they will open the doors Saturday morning around 8 am and the tickets will be given away around noon. I do not believe Hilton will be open before that.

I think perhaps my good old days of camping for tickets may predate your good old days. In any case, so glad to not do that anymore.

I am not sure when they will open the doors on Saturday. The email I got wasn't very clear about that... I am thinking about getting in line early Saturday morning, but could move this to Friday night depending on what the line looks like at that point.
