This is great. One win and we are a tourney team, and after the baylor loss people are questioning if Mc D is the right coach or not. Huh, wonder what it will be like after the Okie State game, meltdown or tourney talk

Just like last year we had three scorers: Taylor, Wesley, Jiri. We were good when they were scoring as a group. This year's main scorers are Craig, Wesley, and Jiri. Now Rashon is scoring also, so we can be very dangerous. Our bench is suspect for scoring. If SH could hit 3s we would be even better. Now we ask Craig, Rashon, and Jiri to shoot the 3s. If we can keep the four scoring in double figures we will be okay. After all, the offense scoring is now the biggest problem. Get to 70 and we can be dangerous. There is a madness to the team bilding procss, but it may be working finally. Hats off to super defender Cam Lee for a big play last game.

How come no one has mentioned that Big XII Conference wins count towards our season total? Say we have a good year and go 8-8. we'd be 18-13. Plus we'd might get one easy game in the 1st round of the Big 12 tourny and possibly a 2nd rd win. Say we win 2 in KC and lose teh 3rd, we'd be 20-14.

We dont have to go 10-6 to get to 20 wins.

its unlikely, but possible. say we split in conference and go 8-8. that would put us at 18-13... if we could string together 2 wins in the tourney we could finish 20-14... that would probably put us right on the bubble. losses to at drake, at baylor, at bradley and vs 'bama on a neutral floor dont hurt us to bad, but minnesota and uni at home hurt.... if we could get 20 wins and beat kansas at home that gives a marquee win the we stand a decent chance
IMO we need to finish 9-7 in conference to have a shot at the tourney.... otherwise we will probably end up in the NIT

lol..... i just realized thats exactly what the guy ahead of me said... haha

Any postseason play is a MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT for this coaching staff, players, state, university, and all Cyclone fans.

Plus, from our tech neighbors or Chicago university aka EIU, this would give our players more practice into the next season.

About a 1% chance this team makes NCAA. About a 10% chance this team makes NIT.

89% chance they play with heart and win some nice games but find themselves at home for the postseason.

So yes...I'm saying there is a chance!

WE won't get 20 wins, but we will have a winning record and have more wins than last year. NIT would be a GREAT goal.

Iowa already has already proved that bad teams can beat good one's, I'd like to see and OSU win and then I'll be on board.

Just think, we lost an opportunity to make Drake our signature win. Let's not play in Des Moines again.

Isn't there a new tournament now besides the NIT? Is there a realistic chance of getting into that?

Re: Can MBB get to 20 wins?

I hope so because it would probably mean an NCAA berth

8-8 in the Big12 this year may get a team to the NCAA due to how tough the conference is overall. Not my words though, that'
