If this was the main goal of the program, I'd say good job. Success for Fred and this program is still measured in wins and championships. He can still do player development in the NBA.

Is this a serious post? We had 23 wins this year, finished 3rd in the B12, beat two top 10 teams and the defending NC, had three players win All Big 12 honors, and made it to the 2nd round of the NCAAs.

Good players aren't going to come into the program if they don't think the coach is going to also look out for their interests.

Reality. What position would be play? Sorry, but the NBA bigs are a lot better than RW. Boozer has a jumpshot RW doesn't. They are similar players build wise. Hey, I hope he makes it, but it is not guaranteed that he plays a lot.

Boozer having a jumpshot is news to me, and he is a defensive liablility. I would take Royce over Carlos.

This is normal. The two year contract plus two more option years will mean he does not cost much the first four years for $6M total. After he proves himself, then he can sign a $60M five year deal.

Do you feel he will be that dominant in the NBA?

Really? How many times have you watched the Bulls this year? What makes you think RW would play better D against the same players?

I'm not saying we had a bad year - far from it. It was a great year. It blows me a way, however, when people lose track what coaches are hired for. It's about wins for the school - not being the best farm team for the bigs.

What if he is punking us all and announces that he will return? The melt...up would be hilarious!

Definitely awesome for you guys, not so much for me lol. I still wouldn't be shocked if he announced he was staying. With the rumor mill in hyperdrive, a presser to announce he's not going anywhere would be appropriate.

I suppose I'll get hammered for bringing up a Hawk in the comparisons, but look at Reggie Evans. He was only 6'8, really had no jump shot at all, way worse than Royce. All he did was rebound and he is still playing in the NBA. Heck he even started for quite awhile.

Royce can do pretty much all Evans did, plus he can handle the ball and pass the rock like no other big man I've seen at his level. If he is going, who can fault him. He will be in the league for a long time barring injury.

Playing a lot isn't the priority for him right now, coming out at the peak of his draft stock is. If he's a lottery pick he's gotta jump and get the guaranteed money.

You would be the only one. And Boozer has one of the best jumpshots of any PF in the NBA.

Maybe I am watching the wrong games, but Boozer and Korver to me are inconsistent. But I do not want to hijack the Royce thread and turn it into a Bulls thread so that is all I will say. I am a Bulls fan too so I am not trying to troll you guys either.

Royce White is officially on the Mount Rushmore of Cyclone Basketball. Best of Luck Mr. White! How about a little Oklahoma City Thunder action? Get some rings and shout out ISU along the way!

YUPPPP can't wait until the bulls unload him...why is he the highest paid player on the team again???

IDK how he got there because I don't follow the NBA as closely or the Bulls but if he was traded it would've been the previous contract with his previous team.

#onemoreyear Royce!
