Lucky for LSU they just miss the bias. What with their campus being on the east bank of the Mississippi in Baton Rouge.

Klatt actually included Iowa as east of the Mississippi, since most of their conference is east of the Mississippi. He put out a disclaimer on that one.

I think it's more B1G and SEC than an East/West thing. The Big 12 and Pac-12 are undervalued while the B1G and SEC are overvalued. No one really cares about the ACC but we seem to agree that Clemson is in at 13-0 and out at 12-1 or worse.

I see people on twitter are saying Joel used a small sample size.

It's college football, most things are small sample size.

Here's some data for ya...9-0!

Just wanted to let you Baylor folks what we have had to deal with on our board every day for the last month.

The last time we played them in anything the Bears won by 20 in the final of the NIT... I honestly don't think the football game would be that close...

Baylor fans have mentioned how well you guys played them early this year even though you were playing the wrong QB.

Klatt is right. There's no other reason Iowa would make that jump after beating unranked 4-5 Indiana by 8 and Oklahoma St to not move up farther after beating #3 or whatever TCU was badly. Ohio St deserves to be where they are IMO because they're the defending champs and haven't lost yet, but in reality based on the schedule they've played they shouldn't be where they're at.

Why do people forget that perhaps a reason Iowa moved up four spots is because three teams ahead of them lost. In the end winning is always the correct answer

Clemson is #1 because how else do you justify Notre Dame in the top ten?

Sorry to say "I told you so" but I knew this would happen 100% the minute I saw the breakdown of the committee. Other conferences and Notre Dame all have multiple connections. Big 12 had one dude with no clout, then replaced him with one dude with even less clout. 1 no name, that's the only connection the Big 12 has.

An undefeated Texas or OU are probably the only "safe" teams. For the rest of our conference we might as well be Boise State playing in the MWC even though the Big 12 is consistently ranked 1, 2, or 3 by computers as a conference.

Duh. Do you really think he believes the committee prefers certain teams just because they happen to lie on one side of a river? He was just using that line to point out that there is an eastern conference bias. I think he was counting on not having to explain that to stupid people.

The committee makeup is perfect for its intended purposes, which is to generate more revenue for ESPN...

This is not surprising.

Who honestly thought that creating a system that relies on people who's current jobs are dependent on sports success would be unbiased when judging sports success?

He's the one who used that naming convention. Duh is right.
