Chipotle delivered.

Comparing chains to local joints is silly. Of course local joints will win.

I agree. St. Joe opened up a local burrito joint a couple of years ago. It was AWESOME. Was 10 times better than Chipotle and 100 times better than Pancheros. Problem was that it didn't get enough business.

Freebird was also better than both until they decided to get rid of what made them different.

Chipoltle switches their food sources around to wherever they can get the cheapest ingredients and then passes it off as some "save the world" bs so that uneducated people like you buy into it. In fact pretty much the whole "food w/ integrity" motto is complete crap. In fact, a large percentage of their food is made by the same company that processes mcdonalds food.

I don't give a crap about their campaign. All I know is that when I eat Chipotle's meat and eat Panchero's meat, I can taste the difference and it is not even close. Panchero's taste like dog food.

I am outraged that a company would spin half truths in their advertisements in order to get people to spend money at their establishment. This is the first time it's ever happened, we must ensure that it does not happen again.

If you only bought products from companies that told the truth 100% of the time, you would either go hungry and naked, or be growing/making the products yourself.

Chipotle fans are probably also iphone users who will vehemently defend that their phones are better even though every possible metric suggests that Android is superior.

Because marketing.

I am a Chipotle fan on an Android device.

I love Chipotle, but I also love my Kindle HDX. It is much better than the iPad. I don't give a crap about marketing. I buy a product because of the product itself. I do have an iPhone, but that is because everyone else in my family has one so I finally bought one because it made life easier, but I had an android before and loved it, except for the battery issues.

Pancheros >>>>>>>> Chipotle for three main reasons:

(1) Pancheros' fresh pressed tortilla blows Chipotle's "let me take this out of a plastic bag for you" out of the water.
(2) Mixed ingredients within the burrito. Go to Chipotle, take a bite, it's all beans; the other end is all rice.
(3) Queso. The most important ingredient isn't even available at Chipotle.

I like Chipotle better than Panchero's because, like Hoops stated, the meat at Chipotle tastes 1000x better. And I personally think Panchero's queso is overrated.

I like my iPhone because it never freezes on me or drops calls. The voicemail setup is also better. My Android phones that I used for 4 years froze almost every single day. I also wasn't able to use the Hotspot feature on my S3's.

But like you said, because marketing.

I absolutely love Chipotle

Burrito Bowl
Half rice
Both beans
Half chicken half steak
Pico, Cheese, SC

I could eat it every single day

Edit: I hate apple. Never knew chipotle was hipster until this thread

Chipotle wins for me because of the hot salsa, that god damn hot salsa. So ******* good.

My $7 burrito selections are a pretty small part of my life, to be honest.

Now burgers on the other hand.

(1) I very rarely get a tortilla, so doesn't matter.
(2) After it is in the bowl, I take a fork and mix it up. It is hard work.
(3) Queso - spanish for cheese. I have cheese in my burrito. (OK, I give you this one.)

Here are reasons why it is not better:

(1) I like meat in my burrito bowl. Panchero's meat taste like crap. Chipotle's don't.
(2) My son wants hard shell tacos. Panchero's does not have them.
(3) Panchero's does not have a hot salsa even close to the quality of Chipotle. Hot salsa is a requirement in everything I eat.

I gave Panchero's two tries. It was awful. It was disgusting. Even if there were no other burrito places, I would still not eat there.
