I like the Garrett / Colvin backcourt. I don't think Colvin is ready to break presses against teams like Missouri and KState. Garrett has shown that he can handle the ball without turning it over and can drive to the basket when it's open. If we can get the passes to the middle like we were seeing Saturday, then I don't think we need the 3 point shooting from Christopherson on the floor at all times. Gilstrap should be enough to deter teams from packing it in against Brackins and Big Ham.
I think last night was a big step for this team. We showed that we can win games without relying on the 3 point shot. If this continues, it should help solve the scoring drought problems we have seen in the past.
