C’mon people…. we don’t need 10 threads about this. Gotta love people that think they have some kind of scoop, but they are way late to the party.

That's every surly thread though.

Better them than OU. Hope he does well there, but I have my doubts on him getting good coaching.

Chubba’s rep coming out of high school in AZ was that he was the better athlete and better runner of the 2 brothers, but Brock was the better passer. Given that, it would make sense that he’d look for a program that has an offensive scheme that relies heavily on the QBs ability to run.

Chubba was rated higher but probably because of the name recognition at that point.

Brock basically missed his entire junior year with mono so he was always playing catch up in recruiting rankings. He destroyed AZ high school records his senior year, but because that was his first year as a starter he was already behind in the recruiting game.

Can he beat out the Texas QB that transferred to the Huskers? If you are a QB I think you transfer to a school where you are the clear #1. I thought he had a better chance at starting at Oklahoma.

Why do we think Chubba would want to come here?

We didn’t recruit him ever and considering how much Campbell loves Brock, any fool would realize that chubba wants to blaze his own path.
That’s a silly reason. I have seen great players all playing for the same school. It has nothing to do with CMC loving Brock, infact if I played at a School and loved, then I would want my brothers to play for that same school because people are familiar with me and I would also offer my little brother hints on how to succeed. Something like the Lazards.

That’s you. That’s obviously not what chubba wanted.

I’m confident that if chubba had been interested in Iowa state, they would have recruited him. He wasn’t interested and that’s ok.

This. He wants to make his own story somewhere, not try to break his brother’s records.

And while Iowa State fans were generally very good to Brock, there were plenty of fans that were kind of ******** to him at times. I can't imagine coming to Iowa State a year after Brock left and trying to live up to unreachable standards.

The comparison to the Lazards is not at all relevant.
