He's doing what he can to get attention after getting booted from ESPN. Check his TV ratings lately. Not good. But yes, he picked the right fanbase to troll. Idiots can't resist.

Well as a radio guy primarily who has a deal with fs1 to air his radio show I think you are grasping talking about tv ratings. The guy is one of the biggest names in sports talk radio.

Like we'd react any differently. Plus this is a huge boost for Iowa. They are being talked about nationally every day.

This is false. We play one of the hardest schedules in the nation every year. That is the entire reason why he is talking about iowa. It just shows how bogus this new system is. Are you trying to be dense?

Actually being talked about having a horribly weak schedule in possibly the weakest conference division in P5 conferences isn't all that great of a way to be talked about. Sure 10-0 is a great point, but when they start tearing down your schedule and the fact that you don't have OSU, MSU, UM or PSU on your schedule until the champ game...those aren't all great things to be talked about

And that's a sad, sad commentary on sports talk radio.

Cowherd is an @ss, a blowhard, a loud-mouthed, self-important, smug, pot-stirrer of the highest order. His type of "commentary" adds absolutely nothing to intelligent conversation about sports. It's all "blue bloods are good for the game" "underdogs should be seen and not heard, and never win" "you can tell me your opinion and then I will tell you why you're stupid and wrong" and "listeners who agree with me are great, if you don't you obviously know nothing about sports and life."

I can't see his appeal. At all.

Boo hoo, we played the hardest schedule every year. It's hard because our team never competes in it. Baylor plays the same teams we do, they figured out a way to get competitive. Everyone has except us and Kansas. Also everyone that makes fun of Iowa's schedule always makes sure to point out that they are .500 against a garbage ISU team. I guess we are still beating them even when we don't because we make their schedule look soft. Hooray for us.

You're one of the few Hawks(Notice I didn't call you a hok like I do alot of others) that posts around here that I enjoy reading. That said why on earth are you still trying to fight the masses here on this?

Iowa fans need to remember that Cowherd spent an entire season bashing Texas and the Big 12 the year Texas won the national championship with Vince Young and Big 12 went 6-1 in bowls 7-0 vs spread.

He was on Texas/Big 12 just as much that year and it turned out they were the best team and conference in football by light years that year.

Not saying that'll be true this year, but it just goes to show the guy will say any idiotic thing and probably doesn't care at all if he's saying anything rational or intelligent. He's a goon.

Colin is not the only analyst calling out Iowa for their weak schedule. There are many and yesterday I watched Jason Sehorn tell them if they want respect, play a tougher schedule and when you do beat a team beat them convincingly.
