Assuming Iowa beats Rutgers when will they announce GameDay? Sunday?

I think Saturday night

It just depends. If ESPN is truly considering coming for the CyHawk game they will wait until the Iowa game is over and announce either Saturday night or Sunday. If they already have the location figured out and results don't matter they will announce it during the show on Saturday.

My guess is they go to Syracuse. Syracuse and ISU have never hosted Gameday. The difference is they are hosting #1 Clemson.
Yep, that and quite a few ESPN "decision makers" are Syracuse alums as well.

Now maybe Texas A&M or Maryland screws those plans up this weekend.

Then they can play up the Dome and New York in the fall. I do think if they are both undefeated that's where they go.

Sure. Which one is the more interesting matchup though? Clemson will be double digit favorites easy.

Because ESPN makes a **** ton of money off of the top tier teams so they will showcase them as much as possible...

Game day almost always showcases a matchup with one of the teams in the top 10. Iowa will be lucky to even be in the top 20 and the Cyclones might not be ranked.

I get that. Just pointing out one of the things in our favor. It probably does come down to whether Syracuse wins or not against Maryland. I'm not going to try and pretend to know what goes on in the decision makers heads.
