i think there are some good things about leath, but I still don't trust him. Part of it is certainly because I don't trust the board of regents that hired him.

I I do like that he appears to be committed to athletics. And he's willing to spend money

Same here.

As long as we're remembering things, don't forget that the majority of CF posters thought Herman was a terrible OC, were happy to see him go, and that he mailed it in at the bowl game.

Yeah, message boards and selective memory go hand in hand.

FYI: Paul Rhoads will do his regularly scheduled radio show tomorrow night. #Cyclones

of all of the things that he had done, this may be the stupidest! In all seriousness, that's pretty classy to put up with the call in show when you don't have to.

Rhoads to North Texas? I don't think it's outside the realm of possibilities. Hawaii is open too so he could apply there for a 4 year vacation.

I actually think North Texas makes a ton of sense for Paul Rhoads:

*Familiar recruiting ground
*Experienced, probably more than most if not all candidates they could attract
*Shown at least some skill with a total rebuild (Chizik was 2-10; UNT is 1-10 right now)
*Difficult landscape; with so many vacancies this offseason, UNT will be at the bottom

Frankly, some of the guys that Rhoads' staff brought to Iowa State would probably be very successful at North Texas, and that might still end up as their best scholarship offer.

I don't know if they want another former Iowa State coach though. But they could do a lot worse. And I would be rooting for him.

North Texas plays at Iowa again in 2017, too.

I just don't buy it, unless CPR wants to be specific about an offer so it can be verified. It's just so easy to say that.
You should question CPR. If there's one thing CPR has proved is that he's a liar.

One of the candidates, best friend of my close friend, has confirmed that Wisconsin had all but offered, but he turned it down before it got anywhere. But if you don't believe Paul you sure won't believe a random poster.

My entire bodice needed this. We just could not, in head or heart, afford to fall any further behind. I don't know if we'll dig out from this, but I know this is the only shot we have. We already gave Rhoads a sympathy year this year imo.

What does your dress have to do with this? :jimlad:

I have a great amount of respect for CPR and the man he is. When I think of an "Iowan", Paul is prime example. He is ethical, loyal, hard working and passionate about everything he does. Thanks, Coach!
