Any CR game watches for the Baylor game?

I'm guessing the game isn't going to be on Mediacom since Comcast Sports is showing the Blackhawks game rather than picking up the FSN feed. If that holds, I'll probably be headed for a bar.

I'm possibly up for meeting some where. Something tells me that Keep will veto my choice. :twitcy:

I went to Mulligans for the UConn game. Never again.

Tavern Hawks were extra nasty after losing to us. Waitress wouldn't even entertain the idea of putting the audio over the speakers. "Read the menu. We're a Hawkeye Establishment."

Third Base Brewery is usually a good place to watch--tons of ISU there for UCONN game---I think Mediacom may pick up the FSN feed though eventually

Then where should they go? I have watched a few games at 3rd base, it is not all that great, but I didn't get a lot of hate there either.

That is the problem...just nowhere to go in CR if you want to enjoy a game with Cyclone fans and not be constantly reminded that CR is a complete Hawkeye town! It isn't that there are no Cyclone fans...it is that businesses know who their customers are so they cater to Hawk fans.

Seems like just yesterday we were putting up billboards in Cedar Rapids claiming superiority in our state...now we can't even get all of our football games aired on the radio in CR!

Here's a thought: Let's open one. Who's with me? A Cyclone Alumni Club bar. 1% of gross receipts go to the athletic dept.

With any luck we will be there by Tuesday.

If we all show up in a drove, I can't see why they wouldn't put it on TV, no matter where we go.

Having said that, I'm game as well. I have mediacom, but if I don't get the game I'm headed out to find it somewhere.

True. We just need to find a place that appreciates our business...unlike the post above somewhere that said something like "this is a Hawk bar"...

Great idea...would it be able to sustain itself? I would certainly frequent that type of establishment!
It would have to cater to all ISU grads, not just sports fans. Rockwell and Alliant are full of ISU grads (engineers). I'm thinking something small, clean, friendly and classy, not a tavern hok dive bar. One giant projection screen surround by a handful of smaller flat screens tuned to other conference games. Maybe even a small screen tuned to the Iowa game.

Guys, 3rd Base's ownership are huge Cyclone haters. I can't believe you're going there.

Not sure where else Cyclone fans go. I've watched games at BWW before, but I was about the only clone fan there.

I'm going to be with a group of 6 Clones in CR on Sat night and we need a place to watch it too.

If someone comes up with a better option than 3rd base brewery I'm all ears. Otherwise, I'll see you there.

What about BWW, or that New Fieldhouse on the south side of Cedar Rapids (Near Westdale - Menards)????

I've said it before. Mahoney's would be a nice spot to go. There were about 5 or 6 of us there last time for UConn. There wont be many Mahoney's there this weekend because there is family down in Texas so they're all going down to the game. I'll be in Dubuque so thats another one down. For most away games that they dont all travel to, you'll usually find 5-7 Cyclones watching there. Doesnt sound like a lot but its a small venue.

I think it doesnt really matter where you go in CR, youre going to run into Hawk fans. There could be a bar called Cyclones in CR and it would still be run by Hawks.
