Guys, 3rd Base's ownership are huge Cyclone haters. I can't believe you're going there.3rd base brewery on blair's ferry is the unofficial Cyclone bar.

Then where should they go? I have watched a few games at 3rd base, it is not all that great, but I didn't get a lot of hate there either.
Here's a thought: Let's open one. Who's with me? A Cyclone Alumni Club bar. 1% of gross receipts go to the athletic dept. That is the problem...just nowhere to go in CR if you want to enjoy a game with Cyclone fans and not be constantly reminded that CR is a complete Hawkeye town! It isn't that there are no Cyclone fans...it is that businesses know who their customers are so they cater to Hawk fans.
Seems like just yesterday we were putting up billboards in Cedar Rapids claiming superiority in our state...now we can't even get all of our football games aired on the radio in CR!

If we all show up in a drove, I can't see why they wouldn't put it on TV, no matter where we go.
Having said that, I'm game as well. I have mediacom, but if I don't get the game I'm headed out to find it somewhere.
It would have to cater to all ISU grads, not just sports fans. Rockwell and Alliant are full of ISU grads (engineers). I'm thinking something small, clean, friendly and classy, not a tavern hok dive bar. One giant projection screen surround by a handful of smaller flat screens tuned to other conference games. Maybe even a small screen tuned to the Iowa game.Great idea...would it be able to sustain itself? I would certainly frequent that type of establishment!
