I'm happy for the McDermotts. Things happen for a reason and who knows without us going throught that we might not be on the road we are on today.
I can admit I was happy as can be when we hired coach McDermott and disappointed when things didn't get turned around. But maybe he was just in over his head. I think he gave it everything he had and things just didn't work out. He was always very humble and was a great representative of the university. He just didn't have the job performance to keep his job. Can't fault a guy for trying.
Now Chizik yeah I'm not a fan. Some might call me a hypocrite but he just seems like an arrogant arse.

I'm not that surprised. The guy can recruit top notch mid major talent. Obviously his son helped a lot, but in the end, it's not the same competition day in and day out that you are playing in the top conferences.
I really don't want to get into another debate on weather or not he could still coach at ISU or weather or not his team now could compete in the Big XII. It doesn't matter now. The guy sucked at ISU. He proved beyond the shadow of a doubt he couldn't get it done here at all and it was the biggest blessing we could ask for with him getting hired away.
Roll tide. And it isn't even because of Mcdermott. It's because of their starting point guard and his lame tweet. You'd think at least Doug would be rooting for Bubu and that might tanslate over to the rest of team.
