I think the PS Vue DVR limits you to only 3 minutes of pause while pausing live TV. That and missing A&E and History channel is the only thing I would complain about. Other than that, my family doesn't miss DirecTV in the least.
For the record, Sling Orange only has ESPN and ESPN2. Someone had said that it has "the ESPN channels" which isn't entirely accurate. You need to pay an extra $5/month to also get ESPNEWS and ESPNU.
A couple more questions on this. How does this work? Is it like cable/satellite where you can be watching something and recording something else simultaneously?
The DVR is my biggest hangup as I record and rewatch a lot sports. How well does Vue do with accommodating that? If they don't, can you hook up a different DVR device to accomplish this?
Yep NFL Network is now live for Core and Elite packages on Vue (not Access).
So the Core package for $35 includes these sports channels:
ESPN
ESPN2
ESPNU
ESPN News
FSN
FS1
FS2
NBCSN
Big Ten Network
SEC Network
BeIN Sports
Golf Channel
Watch ESPN, Fox Sports Go, and NBC Sports app access
TBS, TNT, TruTV (for MLB playoffs, NBA, March Madness, etc.)
And now NFL Network.
And NFL RedZone Channel is available for $40 for the season as an add-on.
Redzone is the channel when they flip between critical points in different games right?
Yeah, basically whenever a team is in the redzone or otherwise about to score.
If there are only a few games on, they'll usually show the one with the most action at that moment.

Okay, I am rejuvenated in cutting the MediaCom TV cord (I am happy with and need their Internet service). Looking at Vue vs Sling, and there is a lot of good information in this thread.
We have an XboxOne, and have access to two ChromeCasts (three total TVs in the house). I see that Sling Orange and Blue ($40 / month) has FS1 and FS2 available and with ESPN / ESPN2 and AMC. That should be good for most B12 games, including ISU games correct?
With the Vue I'll get a DVR service, but will need to prodcast from my iPad via Chromecast onto the TVs. Correct? And the price is $29.99 for the core that has FS 1&2, ESPN&2, and AMC (TWD fan).
Vue seems like the slam dunk decision with the only issue being the chromecast broadcasting (or is that not a big deal?).
I'll need to get my OTA setup again (shouldn't have sold it).

How is it working? I am considering buying this one to run a few TV's. It looks like the one they have at the fair.

You'll need a "permanent" IPTV device to register your home location and to activate Vue. One of:
PS3
PS4
FireTV
FireTV Stick
Roku
You'll be able to use a chromecast once you have it up and running but you'll have to have one of those devices at a minimum to maintain your home location. A FireTV set top box has by far the best client IMO
I've got Pandora and Cyclones.tv but I don't think Cyclones.tv is compatible with Amazon Fire yet unfortunately.
Vudu is also good to store all of your purchased movies on.
Have you ever had problems with Vudu? Got a couple of free rentals for the app and decided to use them a couple of weeks ago. Couldn't get more than 10 seconds into each before they started to buffer and froze up. Went to settings and couldn't even check my download speed on their test. All other apps on my Roku worked fine after checking. Never had a problem with any of the others (Sling, ESPN, BTN, Hulu, etc) and typically have 20 mb/s download while their recommended is around 1-5 mb/s. Not sure what happened on that one.

Works fantastic. I just clamped it to the satellite pole and used the existing cable. And I am not sure that I actually needed the amp.
The one you pictured has some pretty negative stuff about it around the web.

Then that is what I will order. I already have a signal booster and get most of the channels using a cheap indoor antenna, they just sometimes fade in and out. Thanks for the recommendation.
