This. 1000 times this. I don't give 2 craps where this guy dropped out from or who he cheers for. A common fan shouldn't have been anywhere that area. That has always been the root of the issue for me.

And given the activities a few of our players have engaged in recently, a lot of comments in this thread look a little silly. One of our football players held up and robbed a fellow student on our campus. Is that somehow better than an ex student snagging a cell phone and a few bucks? And not to mention...He remained in school and on the team.

You posting this at 8:55 PM on christmas eve looks pretty silly too.

Yeah, still on the security that a fan was able to just wander in and take a bunch of stuff. The fact that it is a former U of I student only really matters to the **** talking crowd. But it should put a damper on Hawk fans latest and greatest line of smack.
the rent-a-cop security guy was a former Iowa football player ...

Well the Iowa managers should have locked the locker room too, but hey don't see you being condescending towards them.

I would be remiss if I didn't return to the thread to post this masterpiece from WRNL.

I think that WRNL's initiative was appropriate and timely but incomplete. It should have included the status of the fugitive as "at large" thus requiring the alert. They could also note that although the fugitive is not known to be armed, there is evidence that he has sticky fingers therefore must be armed and still dangerous.

I think it would have been entirely appropriate to include a list of all criminal activity perpetrated by Iowa fans as well as everyone involved with the Iowa Football Program over the past 5 years. While this fugitive remains at large and his crimes of "passion" against his fellow hoks aren't of a violent nature it is also important to note that many hok criminals have a violent history. Their recommendations fell short as schools hosting the hoks next season should ban all hok fans from any stadium restrooms as well as any porta-potties in the vicinity of their stadium due to continued sex crimes committed by members of the hok fanbase.

These universities hosting the hoks should also be warning the surrounding community and fans of the potential for sexual assaults, drug dealing, assaults, credit card thefts, and all kinds of other deviant behavior.
