I feel like those might have just been bad years to try to get any sort of tradition to catch on.
Those were bad years for anything...
Football and basketball.
We had to entertain ourselves during the games somehow!

You students these days have no idea how good you have it. I was a student from 04-09. My fresh and soph years were good for both. But when Chiz and McD showed up, it went downhill fast.

I was Fall '05 to Spring '09. You're preaching to the choir here buddy.

EDIT: You even got the good Morgan year!!! I had it worse than you.

I was saying in the Hilton thread that got derailed by twocoach hate that I think it would be cool if the students had cardinal and gold streamers to throw up after the first ISU points or made 3. Just think it would look sweet on TV. Seems like somebody with good Twitter skills could make that happen.

There have been a couple attempts with those Cyclone Alley bulletins or whatever they're called that we used to get before games which had info about the game and teams. We were told to tear them up and throw them in the air at tipoff, but it never really worked as a whole. But yeah, it would simply take some organization (and effort) to take care of this.

I was actually all set to interview with CA last year. But when I realized being a part of the CAC meant not being able to really do anything or organize anything of worth, I backed out. So my buddies and I (and of course everyone on CF) would like to put something together this season. Just not sure yet what it is.

I organized the student section flop. I reached out to them multiple times for some assistance leading up to the game, but was turned down. CA had nothing to do with it because it was "targeting a player, and as a university affiliated organization, we can't be involved with things of that nature".

I've been blocked by their account (and in this case can not be a part of the entry for free tickets to the CBE), I imagine because they're either bitter or do not want to be affiliated with someone who is actually coming up with popular, successful ideas. I can't imagine they were ordered to block me because I was "targeting a player". That would be silly.

I loved what you did last year in organizing the flop. It was magnificent.

I'll buy you a ticket to the CBE classic. Anybody else want to contribute? Let's see if we can raise enough to get him courtside!

I for one will be looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

My senior year in 05 I tried this thing where I whipped my junk out and shook it violently at the crowd. Didn't end up catching on though.

I blame VanDeVelde.

Do some stuff to get under the skin of opposing players, like the flop did. West Virginia targeted Kane as the "Bum of the game" and look how well he performed in the game.

IMO, WVU went a little too far with it when they made comments about his family in attendance.
