Makes sense! Gary Patterson can show Campbell the ropes of the Big 12 and be part of something big.

Strange situation...Heacock was on campus a week or so ago with his family (we all saw the video board 'welcome')...dude has had over a month to decide about the job assuming CMC made the offer from the jump. Just very strange that it's taking this long. Either you want it or you don't. I can see taking some time but it's going on a month. If a guy is that leary of taking the job maybe he's not the guy. I think we need a guy excited about the job, excited about the opportunity. Not a guy that gets the offer and tell CMC...'let me think about it for a month'...
This is pretty much what I've been thinking to a T. You can't tell me that he doesn't know what he wants to do. And if he is at all hesitant, then go get someone else. We need someone that's ALL IN from the start. CMC knows what's he's doing so I'm not to worried about.
I'm looking at this in alittle different way. I think heacock just wants to be sure this is a decision that doesn't change after one year. I believe it has to do with his hs daughters. Give the family a chance to figure it out. These kids have moved from town to town many times Im sure in their young lives. I can understand his concern and focus regarding his family. Would ISU want a man who didn't care about the needs of his family. Doubt he could sell "football family" if he didn't care about his own. The rest of the staff has very young kids or none at all. I think this staff would benefit from an old family guy. Be patient.
