I get around
BASICALLY OUR HISTORY IS WE HAVE TO PLAY THREE GAMES TO WIN ONE.

Actually our historical win percentage is 45.8% as of the end of the 2012 season. So we roughly have to play two games to win one.

I just logged on and up'd my donation to the program last night. So, unless you're willing to do that, in the face of this adversity OP, you are less of a fan than I am. See how that works? Calling people out is childish; all fans are welcome. We all hope things turn around for the better, and they will. Sometimes anger is misdirected.

I was hoping for a rebate myself...

Bull **** Danny Mac **** the bed in 04 and 05. And he was given an easier path in both seasons. Danny Mac should have been canned after the 04 debacle. Rhoads has been dealing with different circumstances. Danny Mac and crew would be getting pasted week in and week out if he had to play a round robin with the current setup.

McCarney played a lot if freshmen in 2004; Blythe, Meyer etc. so it's similar to this year. Except DMac had more success. The Big 12 is down this year. Might be comparable to the Big 12 north in 04/05.

Only one team in the Top Ten.....and that may not last....

Minnesota beat Nebby handedly. They cannot believe it. Their new Texas. The sound off shows were hilarious. Where does Bo go from here? They had a backup qb and they failed to bring him in to replace the obviously subpar Martinez who said after the game he had two injured toes. Meltdown on both sides of the ball. They went to get rid of their OC Tim Beck. He had Abdullah running for eight yards a carry against eight guys in the bois, but he had power rocket arm Martinez throwing 34 times. Last night on the show they even said the Hoks had a chance to win the division. Ugh.

Clones, Huskers, Vikes, UNI, all four in a funk.

Been a Cyclone fan, since 1958.
Season ticket holder since 1972
I am retired, 65 now, and I'll be a Cyclone ticket holder for at least another 15 years God willing.
Buying an season ticket saves you a seat in JAck Trice, nothing more.
When you buy you are not a share holder on the stock exchange.
Its' your choice to support the Cyclones or not, but I don't need to hear you complain everyday.
Go Cyclones.

It strikes me as a losing proposition to chase off new fans, regardless of their expectations or dedication. The reality is: this season will chase off most fair weather fans without any help from you. Those that are still here, even if they are griping, are showing a decent amount of dedication in my book.

Fans can (and should) say whatever they want to say. The only thing that can change their tune is the team on the field.

Dear poster,

When you reach the point you can judge the feelings, decisions, elation, or frustrations of any other fan, then apply for the 3rd level of heaven. If not, please quit judging the decisions of others.

Beyond that anyone may have "whatever level of fan commitment they choose". It can be based on alumni, donation, friendship, entertainment, etc.

Short answer this program is entering a time of uncertainty and their will likely be polar extremes from fire them all to those who can create a new sun with their posts of all is good.

It is a process driven by where we go from this point, but the worst part of the process is the side effect of fans beating up on other fans who may not be where they are at.

A good motto (imho) is agree all are fans at various levels, but respect we may disagree and many have differing reasons for opinions and decisions.

I say this as a fan who has made minor support for the program.

I agree 100%.

Does this year suck? Yes
Has it been worse? Yes
Do fans have the right to be as happy or as ticked or somewhere in between as they want? Yes

You are right on, we saw this same thing with basketball a few years back. It had been multiple years of the same bad to mediocre teams with much higher player attrition. It devided a fan base something fierce.

Hell the whole McCarney situation did the same thing.

It sucks to have controversy (over on field stuff) because the fanbase will rarely agree 100% and no matter what happens a group will be dissapointed.

I was onboard with moving on from Dan Mc, but the bolded is, um . . . well its kinda happening.

FYI- I like CPR and want him here, I think he can do good things.
