I don't like our chances with out BDJ. We don't have anyone who can create other than Niang and he'll be the spotlight on D for Iowa (he'll still go off for at least 20 though). Need Houge to go Uconn and the rest to have their shooting game going. Hope I'm wrong on our chances and BDJ not playing.

My thought is, if he was a Freshman, or so, and this was his first run in, then yes, probably no suspension would be warranted. Maaaaybe a game. Unfortunatley for him, thats not the case. The kid came to ISU with a ton of baggage, starting at USC. He, Fred, and everyone else clearly knows that this (ISU bball) is his last chance to shape up, or he's done. In other words, he's on a VERY short leash. Couple this with the fact that the police have been called multiple time to his residence, they have had at least one sit down meeting with Fred, the cops, ect., and they were all smoking (c'mon, lets not be naive), I just dont see this ending well for him.

Now, I have a ton of respect for Fred, and I dont place any blame on him. He is trying to help the kid, and I get that, but at some point enough is enough. And I know everyone is arguing about the exact decibel level, but at this point, it doesnt matter, and the point is moot. It could have been anything. Bottom line, he, after he has received chance after chance, continually puts himself in poor situations.

I wouldnt be surprised to see Fred give him either a VERY lengthy suspension, or even giving him the boot. With the type of recruits you guys get (and im not knocking it), it wouldnt be a bad idea to send a message that- just because you got a second chance with ISU, doesnt mean you can continue to pull the same crap you were before. Its your last chance, act like it.

Do you think as an Iowa fan that Fred's big mistake the first time was that he did not have a prayer meeting between BDJ and his accuser?

Stopped reading here. You only said this to justify the Jok "penalty".

60DB at 3AM with a lot of bass is not a trivial amount, that'll make it very tough to sleep. BDJ is an ******* for being so loud. Just because he's a basketball player doesn't mean he gets to ruin the quality of life of his neighbors.

Totally agree. Look I want BDJ to play as much as the next guy but he sounds like quite the bag. Nothing wrong with calling a spade a spade. To be fair I was a ******* at that age too and got in enough trouble.

Life is pretty simple, don't do stupid **** and stupid **** won't happen to you.

How is section110 not banned yet, he's obviously trolling.

How? Hes just sharing his opinion, and frankly, sharing the feelings of every person outside of the cyclonefanatic bubble. Just because someone posts something that you dont want to hear, doesnt mean they are trolling.

Edit to add: LOL at his brother's tweets!! Nice job dude

Sharing my opinion just like everyone else. I've even made it clear twice now that I thought Jok should have been suspended for his incidents. I'm not letting bias get in the way here.

BDJ isn't going to learn anything if he continues to be allowed to do whatever he pleases at the expense of those around him. I think the right thing to do is suspend him for a couple games just like I thought with Jok. However, selfishly I'd rather see BDJ play. Will be much more entertaining to watch the two teams play at full strength. No excuses necessary.

Of course you don't care if Jok plays. He is no more than a glorified water boy.

You don't think I would be banned if I went and shared by opinion on Hawkeye Fanatic?

No, he won't play. I think Hoiberg suspends him for a bit to send a message as he should. Last night wasn't the only incident.

Im certain he will. Maybe not the entire game be he will. Being suspended because you were being as loud as a normal conversation is would be the dumbest suspension ever. This guy called the cops on him something like a dozen times in 4 months. he probably was in the fault some of those times, but this sounds like more of an angry neighbor than anything else to me. There are plenty of unknowns in this case, such has if BDJ was being obnoxiously loud the other times or if all these cases were like this, and we don't know what Hoiberg told Bryce when they had their talks, but these 2 quotes lead me to believe that what he had been doing wasn't as bad as we all expected it to be

"I have been having issues with them [the residents of Apt. 310, including Dejean-Jones] for the last four months," White said. "It has been a bunch of noise complaints, defacing property in the hallway, leaving their trash out there and being disrespectful to everyone who has ever tried to confront them about this."

We came to an agreement that no more noise would happen," White said. "The trash in the hallway would stop, the being disrespectful would stop, the bass would be turned off during the week-they could have it on during the weekends and at my discretion I could text them and tell them it was getting too loud."
Seems like we have a ****** neighbor here too. Like I said before, BDJ probably was causing some issues, but the way his neighbor said what was going on sounds like he's over stating a few things here and there.

WOW, He has done nothing to warrant a "long suspension" and definitely not "the boot" while at ISU. That's a bit of an overreaction

First off, this will not be boot, that is the dumbest thing I have every heard, that has trolling written all over it.......

Suspension will be put into play and I don't believe we will see him on Friday, but take this for what is worth, we will still win..... and handily, he has been the hot hand early this year but you should not expect that him missing will completely count us out of the game, Nader, Thomas and Edozie will be the step-ins and they are chomping at the bit for more time......

Ha, BDJ is just doing college stuff, much like riding a moped after a few beers. It's not like BDJ lived in a quite suburban cul-de-sac surrounded by families with kids.

Can you discern between 55 & 60 decibels? Do you realize how small of a difference that is? You have a problem with the law, not BDJ.
What does it matter? He was OVER the limit. Not hard to understand. There have been many previous issues as well as defacing property. Not really surprising knowing BDJ's past.

We're not going to be at full strength until December 20th. Why would we give any excuses. It should be obvious to anyone that ISU > Iowa. No excuses needed.

Would it be possible to offer your opinion without calling BDJ (or anyone else for that matter) disparaging names on here. You sound like a tool.
