My thought is, if he was a Freshman, or so, and this was his first run in, then yes, probably no suspension would be warranted. Maaaaybe a game. Unfortunatley for him, thats not the case. The kid came to ISU with a ton of baggage, starting at USC. He, Fred, and everyone else clearly knows that this (ISU bball) is his last chance to shape up, or he's done. In other words, he's on a VERY short leash. Couple this with the fact that the police have been called multiple time to his residence, they have had at least one sit down meeting with Fred, the cops, ect., and they were all smoking (c'mon, lets not be naive), I just dont see this ending well for him.
Now, I have a ton of respect for Fred, and I dont place any blame on him. He is trying to help the kid, and I get that, but at some point enough is enough. And I know everyone is arguing about the exact decibel level, but at this point, it doesnt matter, and the point is moot. It could have been anything. Bottom line, he, after he has received chance after chance, continually puts himself in poor situations.
I wouldnt be surprised to see Fred give him either a VERY lengthy suspension, or even giving him the boot. With the type of recruits you guys get (and im not knocking it), it wouldnt be a bad idea to send a message that- just because you got a second chance with ISU, doesnt mean you can continue to pull the same crap you were before. Its your last chance, act like it.
