I missed the upset of 5th ranked Kansas. Can someone give me details on that. I hope it was as good as the upset of Kansas State last year.

I say this with the utmost respect, but tough **** for Dendy. Kentucky rumors sure seem to be unfounded.

Just my personal opinion... but do we have to dog on every player who leave's our program. He put on an ISU jersey for a year... and played hard for us and I appreciate that.

He chose to go elsewhere... wish him luck... and let's move on.

Fair enough. I just find it odd that he was excited to play for Hoiberg, then decides to bolt. His reasoning is sufficient, but the situation with his mother was already in play before he made his first comment about the CFH hire.

I find it odd too... and I have no problem with discussing it (nothing wrong with what you wrote)... but comments such as laughing at him and calling him an iowa state reject just do not represent Iowa State in a way that I am proud of.

Plus, I never like burning bridges. Not saying I expect him to come back at this point... but as has been discussed on CF before... Dendy's a prime example of a player who takes things that get said on here to heart... and I imagine there are other players out there like him. I'll let our coach decide if we want a player back or not... instead of treating a player with disrespect and saying we don't want so and so back and hope that they fail.

Players get mocked for making poor decisions on an emotional whim... when our fans do the same thing when they get betrayed by a player choosing to go elsewhere (see Dendy, Ham, Colvin, WJ, Taggart...) when that same player may have a change in heart or we didn't know the whole story as to why recruitment was re-opened in the first place.

Well after he has announced where he is transferring to, it's a done deal that he is gone. With Dendy, I wouldn't say I'm happy to see him go, but I'm not sad either. He was a good spark off the bench and I have no doubts he wouldn't contribute under CFH, but I'm more excited to see our young guys get the playing time that can boost them over the rest of their career than a JUCO transfer in his last year with no real shot at the pros.
