I was wondering if anyone knew who officially left the team? I am just wondering because I hear people saying we've over signed but I'm assuming the coaches are smarter than that.

Yours is a legitimate question that will likely not be fully known until spring. In a similar vain were there any Rhoads recruits, especially good recruits, that rescinded their commitment when Campbell came aboard?

End of this semester we will know. Some kids do not want it be known till done with their semester.

That may never be known. What did Paul have on board? 12? How many stayed? 4-7? Now who left of their own volition is a secret in the wall. If they were not contacted by the new staff, they may have left on their own but we encouraged them.

I don't understand what you are asking. Signing day was last wednesday. We got who we got. A few were left over commits from before Campbell's hiring, but they are all signed now so it doesn't matter.

Overheard some players today that Josh Thomas left/quit. Was hard to understand because they were talking about Tyler Brown at the same time as well. Possible marijuana involvement.

Joshua Thomas the RB who played every game this year as a true freshman?

Ouch, that's gonna hurt if that's true.

I really believe it doesn't matter who it is that leaves. If they are not willing to buy in or the staff doesn't think they fit, then I'm okay with a player leaving. Addition by subtraction. Culture change. Call it what you want. Follow "THE PLAN". No shortcuts. Build a good foundation so it lasts long turn.

Yes. I think it was one RB (won't say name because I didn't even recognize him) who was talking TO Tyler Brown. He was saying things along the lines of

"JT knew he would fail (the drug test) so he quit. What a *******."
"Coach Lou was really disappointed"

He kept saying "JT" and referenced coach Lou. Not sure if there are other JT's on the team? And since it was two RB's talking, I thought it was safe to assume they were talking about Joshua Thomas.

Winter workouts started Monday...gonna be a few bolting. Hearing conditioning totally brutal....good. Meh...we have RBs

Looks like Tucker is believing in it. Hopefully his attitude is infectious for the team. Either way, sounds like the team is getting better. Sounds like these workouts might weed out a few people though

You could be right but, we also have a DE named Jhaustin Thomas. Hope its neither guy.

The WR coach, Gasser??? Never mentioned him with the other WRs returning. That really sucks if true.

TMAI....

I was really looking forward to the new staff re-integrating him into the game. Had a tough 2015 season (relative to 2014). Lead the team in 2014 with 605 yds and had 335 this year.

I watched him get destroyed multiple times trying to block DBs that he had 6"+ on. Seems like unless he was getting a bunch of balls thrown his way, he would disappear. If he decides to move on, ISU will be just fine. I would be totally ok with starting Lazard, Daley and Wesley.

This is spring should be interesting with attrition.

Yea I noticed that too several times and it's strange because he's such a physical specimen. Kinda thought DM turned a corner after 2014 season but maybe not. I agree think we will be just fine honestly. Think Epps is going to be really good too.
