Was Warren listed as the backup RB last week?

Edit: checked back, and yes, he was. Why is Croney getting so many of the backup carries then?

Nice to see that about Bolton. Should be in line then to take over for Meeker at RT as a RS JR. Was excited to see who else would bubble up from this year's OL class that the coaches seemed to love. Sounds like at the very least there is potential in Hudson at LG and Bolton at RT. Can't complain about that.

Still the "or" after Lensing. Shows how much they put into this release. It's just to satisfy media and/or a requirement.

Good to see Knipfel back in after the WV injury...we do need Meeker back...these folks need some breaks during the game.

It was very noticeable when Meeker was hurt the first couple snaps in the second half against TCU. DM had actually been able to get a few yards before that. Afterwards I'm not sure he had a 5 yard run.

This team would be very good with just a few good, experienced upperclassmen on the OL. Relying on RS-FR will pay off eventually, but there are a lot of growing pains right now. May be looking at a couple JC guys or a 5th year transfer again. ISU would be a lot more appealing to those guys this year.

Hopefully they won't need to use him and he can keep the shirt on.

There was some discussion of burning a couple of O line redshirts on the telecast Saturday. Sounded like it came up in the pre-game conversations between Patrick/Tubberville and the coaches. What a tough call. Would suck to burn one with four/five games left (3 reg. +potential Dallas trip + bowl). However, if it somehow helps create a running game and helps the team get to Dallas, it may be worth it. Argument for: gives the young guys some game experience and some momentum going into next year. Argument against: we've negatively impacted young guys playing them too early.

Thanks for the info. I didn't hear that.

It would definitely help them reach their full potential if they can get that 5th year, but if we play them, then it might be worth it. They'd also have that redshirt available down the road if, god forbid, an injury occurs.

In the end we'll let the staff decide what's best and if they are ready. If they can contribute and help get a few more wins then it's worth it.

I believe Hudson is a guard and not a tackle, I would bet he ends up the starting LG next season
I also think out depth gets a lot better next year..... The guy is a huge Guard if that is true because I thought he was 6'8"-6'9", and growing....

I not sure if things go South enough for any red shirts to be burned...once we got to 6 wins, the "process" is to develop these guys as redshirts and let them move into the action starting next year.

As an aside, there was discussion this year (NCAA-wise) to allow redshirted players to participate in the bowl game...it died on the vine, but still an interesting topic...

FWIW, Tubbs was against burning the redshirts. I've heard worse color commentary than him on other broadcasts. He kind of sounds like the late great Johnny Cash when he talks.

Our OL in 2018 and 2019 is going to be, well.....absolutely massive.

That's probably the biggest challenge that we've faced the last two years. We're going from a game plan that relied on lean and agile linemen to big road graders, so the guys in the transition are kind of filling a role that they weren't necessarily recruited for.

He said Ray Lima was 5'10".... Than the graphic showed his as 6'3"...... One of the major noticeable blunders, including a very one side slant anti-ISU....
