Did Fred mess up not taking Peter Jok?

Lol Soup, cmon. No one here take you serious.

You say you hate Iowa St fans bashing on Iowa, and don't understand why we have to hate them, yet majority of your posts are either in the In-State forum, or are about Iowa.

Why are you avoiding the question?

And the "inside info" about Jok isn't inside info. If you followed ISU you would actually know why Jok isn't at ISU.

I know what the public knows about what happened with Jok. If you don't think there is more to the story, you don't understand recruiting. I know these things, because I do get glimpses into the football recruiting. For instance I knew Chase Allen was committing to ISU and posted that on here. I have some knowledge of the Vance commitment as well.

It is funny to me that the people who are in the dark, just don't think there is anything else to the story. I know how things work, and was hoping someone was in the know about the Jok situation.

The info is out there for Jok. We couldn't recruit him because of Lefty Moore. Would we have offered him if it wasn't for the Lefty situation? I would say that would be highly doubtful. He was not a highly touted recruit at all and only had an offer from Drake until Iowa missed out on a couple of prospects. Everyone outside of Drake and Iowa said they would wait and see until Spring to see how he did since he struggled his Junior year and on the AAU Circuit before his senior year. Fred liked him a lot before his injury but that scared pretty much everyone away

Ah, so you don't know anything other than what everyone else knows, but since you knew Chase Allen was committing to ISU you assume a 2013 basketball recruit who had a serious injury that caused virtually all other schools recruiting him at the time to stop, there has to be more to the story? Fact is, iowa was desperate at the time he was available and managed to beat Drake out for his commitment. But by all means, keep looking for something that isn't there.

Is being doushy your thing? I openly said I had ZERO inside information on what went down with Jok, and simply asked if anyone did. I really don't care what your opinion is on the situation, I already have my own. I was seeking knowledge, and that is clearly something you don't possess.

I do know Fred really wanted Jeremy Morgan from that class. I do know Fran only got serious about Jok when he realized he wasn't getting Hogue and Matthews. Fran actually even went for one last effort to visit Hogue while Jok was on campus on his official visit. Probably not much "inside info" on Jok since he was off limits pretty early on but nothing would make me believe we would have offered in the early signing period. He was the definition of a fallback recruit for Iowa

Yes, to hawk trolls specifically.

I think Ellingson is almost a lock to start unless they bring in a grad transfer which would mean Fran pushing someone out there door. They don't bring in any SG's in this next class and whoever they redshirted this year aren't better than Ellingson now otherwise they wouldn't have redshirted and would be playing. It really comes down to who starts at PG and it's either that kid that can't get minutes over Ellingson now or Bohannon.

1) Williams
2) Moss
3) Jok
4) Cook
5) Uhl

Or something similar. Not Ellingson.

Woof. Three of those guys haven't played in a college bball game. (Yes, I'm aware Williams played 2 1/2 minutes earlier this season.) Reading that just made my night slightly better, thanks.

Also, why is no one listing Waterloo Dale in their next year's starting line up? He'll be back, right?

Ellingson is better than Williams and Moss, not sure why you think they'll jump him on the depth chart
CW is the PG next year 100%.

1) Williams
2.) Jok
3.) Dale Jones
4.) Cook
5.) Uhl

I don't think there is any way Jones doesn't start. In his short time he was a pretty good shooter. Baer could also sneak into the starting lineup for Jones, just depends how the knee is. I don't think Ellingson has a chance to start, but thats just me.

You're welcome for reminding you he was still on your team. By the way, did you cheer for your other team, Iowa St, last night?

So Fran trusts Brady Ellingson to be part of his rotation but won't give minutes to the guy that is 100% starting at PG for you next year? Yikes
