You have provided no facts or names.

I'd be more PO'd if he did give names...there's no reason to do that on a message board.

You're being naive if you believe that athletes don't do drugs...guarantee that there are a few athletes on almost every FB team that do them...

And no I don't have facts or names...

Rumors are flying that other players are now under investigation...I don't buy it one bit. It's too easy to start rumors now.

Wouldn't be surprised if it were the case that they were at least under investigation, considering players do hang out off the field. However, I'll wait until there are official announcements regarding other players.

There will be nothing on other players.

Also, DJK not starting against Minnesota has nothing to do with this arrest. I suspect Kirk knew of DJK's behavior, but only through heresay. You can't suspend someone on heresay.

Sure you can. This isn't the NFL, he's not taking away a game check. If he felt DJK was seriously involved with drugs he could easily suspend him.

You can, but you don't. You pretty much have to take the kid's word. I highly doubt his teammates were ratting him out.

Without reading the whole thread......are college athletes subject to drug-testing during the season? If so, does anyone know what the rules/guidelines are? Is it left up to the school to do, or is the NCAA involved? If there is drug-testing of some sort, then how the hell was he not caught before this? Just wondering.

When I played the NCAA came in unannounced during 2 a days and randomly testing but if I recall that was just for perfomance enhancing drugs. Then a couple times during the season ISU randomly tested for performance enhancing and other drugs.

My guess is that he failed a drug test. I doubt you'd suspend him for heresay, but it wouldn't be unusual to sit a kid for a possession for failing a drug test. A girl I know that hung out with P'Allen Stinnet some while he was at Creighton said he failed 3 before the finally gave him the boot.

Direct quote from my cousin who goes to Iowa. Sounds like the DJK drug house was pretty widely known and that other players were definitely involved. If the part about sex with drugged out freshman girls is true this could really blow up on the program.

"I do not believe the landlord had no idea. I knew this all along from mutual friends and he'd have parties with the football players and freshman girls and getting them all messed up and probably have sex with them. He had coke all over his house all the time. He is the typical skeezball athlete"

It's not about what you know, it's what you can prove. Iowa Football will make this go away.

Eh, this kind of stuff happens every weekend at most colleges. This obviously doesn't look good for Iowa, but unless DJK names names of players who use, I really don't see it going anywhere beyond DJK.

And if you are only looking for performance enhancers, you won't find the other stuff.

Would it surprise me, no. But the fact is you're speculating without fact. That is a FACT.

I used to live in the same house in Ames for close to 3 years. The day I moved in, neighbors on 3 sides of me warned me about the guy that lived to my east---apparently a HUGE drug dealer. Well, I saw alot of familiar faces during that time (ISU athletes) that were regular "guests" of this house. I know a lot of athletes do drugs but I was surprised at the people that went in and out of this house---not people that you would suspect

I believe all this except the "probably" having sex with them part.
