Short turnaround for Monday game.
Texas has four rebounders that like to body up.
Newbie 6-11 Myles Turner with a bunch of stars from rivals.
Can we get our spring in our step back?
Will we start the game with vigor?
Will we rebound?
Discuss.

Nope.

This is Hoibergs worst three point shooting team since his first year here, and we sure as **** aren't going to beat them down low.

Next win will be next Saturday.

My bet: yes, we beat texas at home. And I also thinks we win out at home. But it isn't enough to challenge for the title. We can't keep sleep walking though the away games and then saying "we'll learn from this" and then do it again. We'll be relatively fine, but no championships this year unfortunately (just my prediction).

Niang needs to shoot more.
Thomas needs to play less. Not a hater, he just has a couple more years to play and all he is doing now is missing shots and fouling at critical times.

Three times I've heard players say "We'll learn from this." I've also had students tell me this.

Spoiler Alert: Nobody learns **** from this.

They'll learn from it when they get their ***** knocked out against a 12 seed in the first round of the tournament.

Ok, easy spaz. I get your point and generally agree with you. I, too, am sick of the "oh, we shot like **** and lost to an inferior team. WE ARE MAD! WE WILL LEARN FROM THIS!!" rhetoric. But you honestly think this is a 12 seed? Chill out.

On a side note: if I hear anyone say "But we'll never see ISU shoot like this again this year" type crap we usually year, I might lose my ****. We see this a lot. If we've learned nothing this year, it is that this team has great potential, but is extremely streaky and can lose to ABSOLUTELY ANYONE from here on out.

At least nobody is overreacting.

While Texas is a match-up problem for us we will take care of business at home.

Agree with Niang needing to shoot more, but NOT from 3. He needs to get back to "fat niang" and get closer to the basket and do his "YMCA guy" moves.

Totally agree with Thomas. Thought for awhile he might have his break out game this game with him hitting those 2 3's, but then he went back to being the same disappointment...and yes, I am sorry, but he is a disappointment. He had MUCH more hype than Long did coming in and has not delivered anything compared to Naz. I feel bad for him, but he is a bit of a head-case and that isn't good when it comes to being a 3-point specialist.

I was worried about this game long before today and I still am. Texas is too tall for us and will kill us when we leave them wide open from behind the arc. If we aren't making shot we will lose.

One of Thomas's top five player comps on kenpom is 2013 Josh Oglesby, the year Oglesby was the worst shooter in major conference basketball for most of the year. Thats how much he has struggled this year.

Losing to a 12 seed would make us a 5 seed, not a 12 seed.

Seriously?

Look, outside of the end of the 1st half and the two mid-range jumpers he had Matt didn't have a great shooting game, I'll grant you that.

But...if you're honestly giving Naz a pass this game (and he was awful) to bag on Matt Thomas, who did score 12 points and was at the very least some offense off the bench, then, yeah, you just might be a Matt Thomas hater.
