Documentary Video Up

Thought it was fantastic. Good production and lots of time and effort was put into it I'm sure. Great infomercial for our program, and it's free content. Too bad everyone who worked on it is probably only going to hear from people who want to ***** about not getting a hit tape.

Maybe our buddy Matt VanWinkle can do a CF hit tape every week. He does a great job for the site, although I know he now works for a station in DSM.

We need someone on here to volunteer their time and put together a hit tape. I know some guys who do it for fun anyways. It will be much appreciated.

It sounds like there won't be a weekly hit tape this year. Remember, the same people who made the hit tape are now filling a dedicated television station too. I heard it took one person nearly a whole week just to put the hit tape together.

How could it take 40 hours to put a 2-3 minute clip together? I am no expert, but I have done a little bit of video editing. With the footage and editing capabilities they have one of those should take 10-15 hours max with a few exceptions. Some of the ones where they put extra effects into it (like the one after the Iowa game last year) may take a little longer. But it doesn't take that long to clip some footage up and cue it to the music.

Because they get paid by the hour?

I'm trying to figure out why a person needs to watch clips from previous games to get jacked up to watch a live football game. Doesn't the combination of tailgating, drinking and atmosphere take care of that? Besides, none of you guys are hitting anyone, unless it's a drunk pantherhawk fan talking trash.

Always gotta ***** about something, I guess.

It's just all part of the lead up to the game I suppose. If ISU never had these I guess it wouldn't be an thing. But when you show Hit Tapes week after week for a few years (to large popularity) then it is natural to have some pushback when you take them away.

I suppose, but as was pointed out, there's no game to make a hit tip from yet, unless you want to see the Liberty Bowl highlight...

I don't want to be reminded of the liberty bowl performance.

I personally liked this video. It was very informative. I don't need pumped up for the game since I'll just be standing in the stadium.

Well the hit tape the team will watch tonight before going to bed will include highlights of all last season.
