Documentary Video Up

I enjoyed the video - but it just makes me miss the Hit Tape of the week more.

BRING BACK HIT TAPES (and keep this stuff too - yeah I'm picky, but damit video crew I expect you guys to be ALL IN)

Saw the whole thing, and I preferred life before seeing it. Nice information, but it could hardly be more dull in its presentation.

This is the time when you fire people up, not intellectually inform them. Play to what's gotten us all excited. Instead of JW sitting there telling me that people are excited, MAKE EXCITEMENT HAPPEN. Show those moments that have brought us here. Sprinkle in some quotes from CPRs hiring, locker room speeches, here there and everywhere.

Most importantly, show the exciting things that happen now in Cyclone football. Show us taking down everyone but Oklahoma. Show that we shock the world routinely, mostly because they're too stupid to figure out that we're building something special. Show exciting football things, and keep cranking that excitement for football today.

I hate this change. Completely missed and wasted opportunity. Find whoever picked this option, and I don't care who they are, and smack them upside the head until they think clearly. This was a boneheaded manuever.

Reactions: A-town Cy
So I DVR'd "Football Camp" on Cyclones.tv a couple of nights ago because it said it was a behind the scenes look at the fall camp. Turns out that program is just this video. They played it twice in a row to make up the 30 minute time slot.

Like it, don't love it. I agree with the sentiment that it should be used in conjunction to Hit Tapes. I don't need a hit tape to get excited about the upcoming game, but it's always a nice cherry on top.

On a sidenote, it was pretty cool to see the players reaction to the throwback uni's.

How could it take 40 hours to put a 2-3 minute clip together? I am no expert, but I have done a little bit of video editing. With the footage and editing capabilities they have one of those should take 10-15 hours max with a few exceptions. Some of the ones where they put extra effects into it (like the one after the Iowa game last year) may take a little longer. But it doesn't take that long to clip some footage up and cue it to the music.

I kind of thought the same thing, but I then decide to make my own and I think that it took me about 20-25 hours (It may have very well taken me 40 hours). The most time consuming thing was figuring out was which clips to use. Then the next hardest thing was editing the sound and the video together make it flow smoothly. Also rendering the audio and the video can take some time especially if you are working with HD quality video. Once you have the flow down there is also sound design, color correcting, and then adding the effects you want to use.
