If CF is hurting team morale, perhaps the team should spend less time on CF and more time in the weight room strengthening and conditioning themselves to gain more muscle mass and prevent injury, and working on technique so they can block and tackle better.

Obviously an overly simplistic view, but when our players suffer as many injuries as they do, when they are completely outsized by FCS opponents, and the team might very well be the worst technical team in the nation...

You can only spend so much time in the weight room, football related activities, etc.

If you were an athlete at ISU, you would be on CF looking at what people say about you.

I think the point was more along the lines of pointing out that short comings of our S&C coaches.

If we suck I'm going to say something. This isn't kindergarten.
Kindergarteners say what they want without thinking of the repercussions. In a way, this site is like kindergarten.

Our terrible record the past two years is everybody's fault but ours!

Is that helping yet? Did that change our 2 consecutive losses to FCS teams into wins?

No.....the bashing of Nigel Tribune was prior to him signing his LOI. There was negativity on the Boards constantly saying he did not have enough stars and did not warrant a scholarship offer. Nigel Tribune almost signed with Indiana as a result. It took a helluva job of recruiting by Rhoads and the staff to get him signed to an LOI.

So bottom line is that the negative posters on this board do NOT HELP the football program, they hurt it. These negative posters talk of taking their fan support elsewhere.........and the football program would be better off if they did go somewhere else.

And that is "just telling it like it is" as so many of you put it.

I can honestly say the defensive secondary is the least of our problems. They will have to carry the water next year too.

Recruits, morale, etc.

So you are saying that recruits and moral are not effected by this board? Maybe I read what you said wrong. You compared it to a place without repercussions.

I thought you meant no repercussions for the posters

EDIT: I read it "without repercussions" not "without thinking of repercussions" that's my bad. Hopefully no recruits read this and go to Iowa because they think ISU fans can't read

Yep, 1 example sure proves we are the problem with the program. Fans like you are the reason this program can't move forward. You sit back and pass the buck to anyone but the people that need to be accountable. We as fans shouldn't be bashing prospective players. That I agree with. But to say we shouldn't call out the team and staff after 2 horse **** campaigns is beyond insane.

I make donations and buy season tickets and attend the games and cheer on the Cyclones through thick and thin and give them my full support. The team knows they are not doing well. Negativity is not what we need.

It is fans like me who have been Cyclones for decades through thick and thin. We built a new stadium which we are in now and which will be expanded.........when we used to be in Clyde Williams Field. Fans like me have built Hilton Coliseum.......when we used to be in the Old Armory. Our new practice facilities and all of the other things we now have. It is OUR money and longevity of support that has done all these things.

Being a whiney negative poster on a message board does NOTHING to help our programs. And NO ONE is passing the buck. We are simply saying that Rhoads coaches next year.........for a variety of reasons.

So we should thank YOU for the state of our program? I'm confused... But I guess you FINALLY got the basketball coach right. So, keep up the good work I guess?

Duration of fandom is completely irrelevant, so check that **** at the door. Nobody cares. Its not my fault I was born in the 80s and you were born in the 40s. Thems the breaks. The fact of the matter is, unless you personally were out there putting down the foundation for JTS and Hilton, you don't have anything to be crowing about.

Beyond that, if age of Cyclone fan has anything to do with anything, we could point fingers at your generation for becoming so comfortable with a ****** program rather than getting up in arms like the fan of today is.

I donate just like anyone else so don't think you suddenly have any right to tell us fans that are unhappy with our investment that we have no right to express that displeasure.
