Refresh my memory. When Lucious left MSU in the middle of the season did he quit or was he booted.

It's a trend. We can't comment on a trend?

What's a trend? Outside of a very few, no one on this site knows why she left. So making the type of comments that have been made are pure speculation and rumoring. My dad's advice always rings true...if you don't know what you're talking about don't talk.

What's a trend? Good players leaving the program, that's a trend. When the men's team was having it's players transfer out of the program, it was a sign that it was McDoormat's time to go. Now that CFH is here, that trend has reversed. Now the players who aren't going to be contributors are the ones being released, and it's happening after the season is over. I'm not saying BF needs to go, because he's one of the faces of the athletic department, and he's got a very successful program, he's part of the reason ISU has so much pride right now.
I agree with you, we don't know the reason why EB left. But we can see the trend that is happening, we can agree that it is not good, and as long as we aren't getting the reasons why, then we gosh darn well will speculate. That's the norm for message boards.

Is it me or does it seem problems often arise when relatives get too involved with the decision making process that these young men and women need to make themselves?

...thinking of Wesley J and a couple past football players/recruits.

He got the boot. Not only that but when they quit and come to Iowa State it's o.k.

So, even when you get booted off the team, you still have to sit out a year (like Lucious did) to be eligible for another D1 team?

Doesn't seem quite fair to have to sit out a year for a coach's decision to kick you off the team rather than your own decision to transfer. Oh well, I shouldn't have been expecting fairness.

I'm behind BF, program is a top 10 attendance program and NCAA tourn team for many years. Yah I've seen his actions on the court, but as someone said earlier these young ladies know what thier getting before coming in. Finally, I had a coach in HS (that I respect) that was on our butts all the time. I was thinking about quiting the sport at end of season and talked to him. He told me (and I'll never forget this) " When I quit chewing your butt to get better, is when I've given up on you" 10K Plus fans at a Women's BB Prgram that reach the NCAA tourn yearly, my coach is BF

I think she could have developed into a good player for our team, but if she is unhappy it is better for both her and the team that she leave now.

These kids know what they're getting with Coach...They see him in games, practice, and off the court before they commit. He doesn't really have to much too hide. If they can't handle that type of coaching I don't think they would commit. Schroll is the only one that comes to mind because of this lately. Harris was a complete whiff and couldn't handle D1 ball. The JUCO from Oklahoma missed home. Arlen, Yackly, & Rockall wouldn't have played much. It's all relative. I wonder if we will ever find out if why this has happened.
You forgot Whitney Williams, I was disappointed with her leaving at the time. We will probably play against her this year because she is playing for TCU.

I don't believe in speculating. Also I don't like to talk bad about the coaching in times like these. The only comment that I will make is that this hurts our chances for this year. While Em was having trouble lately, we all saw what she was capable of earlier in the year. I also don't like what is said in press conferences sometimes. I think if someone isn't capable of saying the right things in press conferences, we are better off without them.

Don't get kicked off your team although I think the school should be able to submit a waiver on the players behalf if it a mutual/coaches decision not based on behavior or grades like McKnight or Sledge.

A trend is when something continues to happen for the same reason. People here think players are leaving BECAUSE of Coach Fen. That has happened once in recent history. Not the case here. Not the case a few years ago when we lost three either. Of course no one considers the trend of ladies transferring IN to the program. Think on that one for a minute.

I will say again, that I am completely devastated by this. The team I envisioned doing very well had Emiah playing well. In fact, Em's dad mentioned it in a post, and I won't go back to find it word for word since I can give the gist. We need plenty of ball-handlers and shooters if we are going to challenge Baylor. Moody needed a blow during the game the way she plays. Now where do we go to get that?

Em had become my favorite player and I thought she was a great fit for the Cyclone program. Sometimes things don't work out for some odd reason. I wish her the best, but I am very disappointed.
It's time to move on
