Why is this so difficult for fans? Every year the team will be different with ups and downs. ISU is in a position to land a 3-6 seed in the tourney and all people do is complain. 3-4 years ago, you would have **** your pant for a season like this. This team doesn't deserve to be called lazy, selfish, weak minded, etc. They deserve your support so stop crying and give them that.

Yup, basketball season is a lot more fun when you don't overanalyze every loss and every little thing that goes wrong. I get that this is a forum for discussion, but after every loss it's overreaction central. Some people need to just take a step away from the keyboard and breathe after games like that.

Probably because even with a good seed, it doesn't look like we'd win any more than 2 games in the tourney based on how these neutral/road games have been going

"Were you not entertained?" How great is that our team is consistently mentioned as one of the top teams to watch.

Clean up the free throws and this team will go a long way in the tourney.

You don't understand, every time we win a game we're the best team in the country, and every time we lose we're bums who won't win another game.

I've been watching ISU basketball for 32 years, and there is absolutely no way that you can know that for sure. So the question stands- why not just enjoy the ride?

This team has not peaked yet, which is super exciting moving toward the middle of march. Lets get it rolling again by pounding WVU.

Winning more road games, winning games in the Big 12 tournament, and finishing undefeated at home is all icing on the cake if we can make another fun run in the NCAAs

Right now I'm just incredibly frustrated. We had a shot to win this one with how lights out we were shooting in the first half, and then we just stopped playing defense. We always seem to just not play defense when we leave home, and with the first half being as good as I've ever seen a Hoiberg team shoot, and we just chose not to play defense or box out which is why we lost. Now we need to pick off either Texas or OSU on the road or we are in a bit of a pickle, as in losing 3 out of 4 games and sliding down the Big 12 standings kind of pickle.

The seeding will be determined in the next few weeks - but I think many felt this team could get a 2 or 3 seed and now a 5 or 6 may be more likely.

(I was there last year so I know it can be done) but I would love this team to get the 2 or 3 in KC, that way we can get some good momentum going into the NCAA's. Still have a really good shot at that with the talent we have.

Yeah I like this team but they're so frustrating.

There is a cause for concern. We don't have the easiest schedule coming up. This could be a turning point in our season where we either figure things out and get better, stay the same and win every other game, or even fall completely out of it. We have shown that we can beat the best team (KU) or lose to the worst team (TT). Pretty frustrating.

It almost feels like last year's finish really hurt us for this year. It's like our players thought that we pretty much would have won the championship if Niang didn't get injured and therefore thought that we would just dominate this year.

Yep lots of bandwagon fans hopped on board before this season and with it comes the loss of any middle ground.

17-6 right now coming off a bad loss. Last year we had a much better record at 18-5, also coming off a bad loss on a Monday to West Virginia.
