I feel like this isn't the world's greatest idea at this time. If they had month by month, personally I'd only subscribe Sept thru Mar.

I'd guess at some point these streaming services, particularly the premium ones, go to annual-only subscriptions.
Really, when it comes to cable and streaming platforms, sports is the biggest issue. I wouldn’t buy YouTubeTV if it weren’t for sports.
I love it, then I can stop subscribing to YouTube TV just for sports.
No thank you, I’ll just find a free stream if it’s not on YouTube tv.

In the end it will all end being higher than it was before and the consumer will take it in the backside.
Gonna need to have 27 different subscriptions throughout the year just to watch what I want to watch. At some point, I will just stop watching tv.
So Disney's stock went up with this rumor. What did the cable / streaming companies do? I assume they're a bit worried. ESPN was the key stone that's going to send their subscription numbers into a free fall.
It would be a must have for any sports fan.

My opinion is that Disney fully takes over Hulu and then bundles it all.
Yes and no.
Yes you will probably buy a number of subscription networks. But you will select on one platform. Not any different than premium offering channels today.
Aka On the Disney+ platform you will choose Networks when you sign up- ala carte style. So if you want Disney, Peacock, Discovery and Hallmark toggle yes.
I like the idea of saying Yes or No to a Network Bundle and the price is transparent. So if I only want to spend $50 on my monthly TV subscriptions- I choose.

Disney announced that last week. Hulu is going to be consolidated into Disney+ to save money on supporting multiple platforms.
FOX has been slow to push a broad based programming subscription platform like Peacock or Paramount+. Even their main foray into a sports subscription platform is one-dimensional with BTN. So if Disney's move speeds up cord cutting could that significantly reduce BTN carriage fees which drive their adding Rutgers (NY) and UCLA (LAx2).
It will also be interesting what becomes of ACCN and SECN. Are they even available as linear channels or do they just get rolled into ESPN+.
This has been looking like a likely outcome to me for years. Just a matter of how long it takes us to get to the breaking point.
