Everyone in the top 6 won fairly decisively except FSU

I don't care if Ohio State just destroyed Wisconsin. It doesn't make up for the fact that the Big 10 was garbage again this year. If either TCU or Baylor don't make it in its a travesty, especially TCU.

OSU just beat the #13 team in the country with their 3rd-string quarterback. The Semioles are the defending national champs and are the only remaining undefeated team in the country. Last year they broke the SEC's streak of 7 straight national championships. To suggest that they should be left out of the playoff is really pushing it to the limit.

Ohio State lost to an unranked 6-6 ACC team at home by two touchdowns. Plus their strength of schedule doesn't stack up to any of the top six except maybe FSU.

TCU's only loss is to a one-loss team ranked No. 6 in the CFP. By 3. On the road. If TCU gets left out of the playoff it's almost criminal.

ESPN already cranking up the B1G hype machine this morning. Colin Cowherd and Danny Kanell both agree that TCU should be out in favor of OSU. Both agree that the Big 12 has been overhyped this season and want to punish the Big 12 for not having a conference championship game. Colin ho-humming TCU's win yesterday as being against "awful" ISU (I agree, but, body of work, Colin).

I know it's been said many times on this board, but our conference went years and years of missing out on the biggest bowl games because of our conference championship game while other conferences didn't have those championship games and got to sit around watching the Big 12 finish up their season. I don't remember a situation where those conferences without championship games were looked down upon in the bowl selections in favor of those who did have championship games, and now that's all we're hearing about.

Excellent point. The Big XII was famous for having a BCS title contender blow their chance by losing the conference championship game.

The committee says conference titles are a factor in their decision, not conference title games. Blowhards like Cowherd (what a total joke) and the other ESPN talking heads are the only ones trying to make that a thing.

Remember, TCU's loss to Baylor was already "baked in" to the rankings when they put them at 3. If anything, that loss looks even better today now that they are both co-champions. There's nothing in yesterday's results to justify dropping TCU.

Herbstreit now piling on with the company line on NFL Countdown, he also believes OSU should knock TCU down two spots and out of the top 4. ALL of the ESPN personalities have had the exact same projected top 4 this morning. ESPN management must have gotten the memo out to everyone overnight.

Ah yes, the 3 points. OSU had a shutout and TCU did not. I think the votes for B12 may be divided and they will not have a team. Thanks, Netten.

Man, our kicking problems have been so bad, they have now caused other teams missing out on championships.

In all honesty, I can see the committee not wanting to make the decision of taking TCU over Baylor, since Baylor beat TCU. So the committee cops out and picks Ohio State and leaves both TCU and Baylor out completely.

The Committee needs to ask themselves how they can not include the Champion of the Strongest Conference in America. And would having a conference championship game between TCU and Baylor change anything? Or would they just disregard it anyway?
