I know that Brackins has played in streaks this year, but I still think he is going to be a great player. That kind of inconsistent play is typical for a freshman. I got to thinking about all the other freshman in the country. I am not a basketball analyst by any means, but this freshman class has to be one of the most talented classes in years. There seems to be a lot of impact freshman across the country. Who is your favorite thus far? Michael Beasley, Kevin Love, Blake Griffin, OJ Mayo, etc. I think my favorite is Kyle Singler from Duke. I am not a Duke fan, but he is one heck of a player and fun to watch. What do you think about Brackins and some of the other freshman in the country? It will be interesting to see who goes pro after this year. I would definitely say Beasley is gone, but that is nothing more than a guess.

Beasley is my favorite by far, but I am a little biased. And yes, he is definitely leaving this year. No questions about it. I also really like Kyle Singler from Duke. He hustles all the time and comes up with some really huge plays!

I would guess the following people are 1 & done (just off the top of my head):

Beasley and Walker (K-State)
Love (UCLA)
Mayo (USC)
Rose (Memphis)
Gordon (Indiana)
Jordan (Texas A&M)

Anyone I forgot?

I think OJ Mayo stays one more year....

From my list I think the ones likely to stay are Jordan and/or Love, but I think that everyone I listed will end up leaving. I especially hope for Walker/Beasley/Jordan because K-State will not be very good next year without those 2 and Texas A&M would/will be very tough with Jordan back.

Good thing Brackins isn't on the same level as all the stand-out freshmen. Otherwise he'd be gone in a flash. I think he'll be here at least 3 years.

I don't think there is a player on the team that will leave early. Look at what Stinson and Blalock did at ISU for 3 years. Their proformances their first 2 years made everyone think they would be 1st round picks, but Blalock went last and Stinson not at all.:wideeyed:

Johnson will have to have a MONSTER year next year to even go in the first round, and even then he would only benefit from one more year. Brackins has skill and talent, but he definately needs to develop before he even sniffs the first round.

I'm amazed by Beasley. He's so physical, but he still has incredible touch. Derek Rose is really fun to watch, too.

Most of the other teams would still be good without their outstanding freshman, but K-State wouldn't be much without Beasley. Could be him or Hansbrough as the number one pick in next years draft.

I would love to see Diante put on about 20 pounds of muscle this off season and drive to the hoop WAYYY more!

I really love Diante Garret. That might seem pretty weird to the most of you, but i just think he really has a ton of potential and could be one to remember. I think he could be a stud by next year!!

Totally agree. Our freshman were put in a tough situation this year, but really showed promise. Diante, Craig, Cameron, Charles and hopefully Lucca will be a strong foundation to build on.

what bout Jerryd Bayless from Arizona? this guy is an absolute stud!!

I totally agree...Bayless has been hurt a couple games but has been a complete beast. he can drive and shoot from outside. He put up 39 points last night! I think he could go to the Nba after this year along with his teammate sophomore Chase Buddinger.
