Ah, before you were born eliminates almost seven full decades for me.

So, stuff from before 1951 that I will still watch again and enjoy or just have an appreciation of:

Casablanca (1942)

The John Ford/John Wayne cavalry trilogy movies, Fort Apache (1948), She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949) and Rio Grande (1950).

All Quiet on the Western Front (1930)

The Marx Brothers, Animal Crackers (1930) and Duck Soup (1933)

Wizard of Oz (1939) Grown to appreciate this movie more over time.

In no order:
The Grapes of Wrath
Citizen Kane
Strangers on a Train
It's a Wonderful Life
Rear Window
Psycho

Grace Kelly and her dozen stunning outfits in that movie. ;)

Growing up, I remember watching a few Jimmy Stewart movies with my mom and dad (It's a Wonderful Life, Rear Window, Vertigo, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance). Those will always be my favorite "classics." It's also why I think JS is the greatest actor of all time (Sorry, Denzel Washington, you do take a close second, however).

Brooklyn Park, MN
Doctor Zhivago
Lawrence of Arabia
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
The Great Escape
High Noon
The Bridge on the River Kwai
African Queen
Key Largo
Casablanca
Citizen Kane
Fantasia
The Grapes of Wrath
Snow White
Sons of the Desert
The Music Box (short)
Brats (short)

I guess I never realized how big of a fan I was of Bogart movies. I almost added Treasure of the Sierra Madre, but I less enjoy and more am disturbed by Bogart's transformation in that one.

Sunrise
Citizen Kane
Greed
City Lights
The Passion of Joan of Arc
Gone With the Wind
The Wizard of Oz
The Quiet Man
The Virgin Spring

Oddity: Both Oz and Gone With the Wind were released in the same year, 1939. Also, The Virgin Spring (a Bergman classic) was remade as, believe it or not, The Last House on the Left.

OVER THE EDGE.

Still bad ass in the 90’s. Matt Dillon’s first movie ever. Great soundtrack too.

Too many to mention, for the golden era predated me. A few off the top of my head, most that I've seen not too long ago:

High Sierra (1940)
Key Largo (1949)
In a Lonely Place (1950)
A Brief Encounter (1947)
The Third Man (1947)
The Thin Man (1934)
The Maltese Falcon (1941)
The White Sheik (1950)
The Wizard of Oz (1939)
The Big Sleep (1947)
Tell it to the Marines (1925)
