No, you're just reading that way because I happen to be a KU fan. I am implying that Illinois fans should quit complaining about their coach and be amazed that their team that has been decimated by injuries has done as well as they have this year. Players are either still missing or have missed the vast majority of their offseason practice. That they have any continuity at all is a pretty clear indication that their coach is doing a great job.

I disagree, and it’s not because you’re a Kansas fan. I simply disagree with the statement “they had no business giving ISU the game they didâ€￾. Illinois is a solid team, which anyone could see after watching them play in this tournament. They shot well, but when ISU turned it up on D and put Nader on Hill, we pulled away, like a good team does. It just seemed like a random shot directed at a team beating a decent P5 team at a neutral site far away from home.

And your initial post never mentioned Groce so I’m not really buying what you’re selling here.

Thorne probably out for season with meniscus tear. Another blow on Illinois. Sucks to be Thorne.

Where did that even come from? That makes no sense at all...

It would've been a much different game had Thorn been able to come back that's for sure. If Illinois is able to stay healthy they should be able to cause some trouble in the B1G this winter

I thought Thorne was a beast and frustrated McKay; 270 vs 225 and it showed at times

Even their team chaplain blew out his achilles in the offseason. It's been insane over there. They have guys coming back but they are WAY behind other teams since so many of their players have missed so many practices. This really isn't as complicated or controversial as you guys are trying to make it. This isn't a knock on ISU. I watched most of the game; ISU looked good to me. Settle down, guys.

It is college basketball there are games where the less talented team is on fire from 3 and play up to their competition much like on Saturday. I was actually quite hartend by ISU performance they just just stayed with the game plan (no panick), upped the perimeter defense, and as the illini cooled off passed by them. This is a really good non-con game to get under their belt to show if they play their game not a lot of teams will be able to stay with them.

Terrible thing to happen, but he does play in the Big 10. The NCAA will probably allow him a medical redshirt. It's not like he plays for ISU.

Just put me on your blocked list or don't click on threads about Kansas.

I was told I wouldn't have to read Tuco's drivel if I didn't click on KU threads. Also, I checked my ignore list and twocoach is still on it. Can a MOD explain to me why it isn't working?

That's sad.

Just a question about a meniscus tear. I had one and was told I could have surgery or just stay off it as much as possible and see if it heals since it was on the outside. It did heal after a long time. Wasn't it Metta World Peace who was playing ten days after surgery? Why is this guy out for the season? Is it the location of the tear that makes the recovery time different, inner versus outer?

Mine was an inner tear and I chose no surgery. Took me about two or three months to fully heal.

Don't question the almighty mods. Troll coach is one of their pets.

If memory serves, the likelihood of repair and recovery is related to blood flow wihtin the meniscus. If blood flow is low or absent at the location of the tear, then surgical repair is not effective.
