No one should even have an opinion on Groce yet because he has had to deal with a comically ridiculous amount of devastating injuries in his time at Illinois to key personnel.
No knock on ISU at all. All I mean is that Illinois is hugely overperforming this year. They have had a ton of huge injuries. Illinois fans should be doing nothing but singing the praises of that team for doing as well as they did.
Yeah but all of their players that were injured were back for the ISU game, as far as I know. You're a big enough follower of college basketball, you knew that.

Illinois players also talked so much trash at Monte and George during first half. Glad we show them who's the boss!They need Thorne. He changes the way they play their game. He really dominated the game until he went down with knee injury. Not sure we could have played small ball if Thorne was still in the game.
Abrams is back, too? I thought their starting PG was out for the year with a torn Achilles?

How did you read that as a troll statement? It was true. Illinois played out of their minds for most of the game until they fell back to earth the end of the game. Nunn was unconscious when he shot for 3/4 of the game. Same with that Hill kid.
Some of you are way too sensitive to jump on anything Tuco says as a troll attempt.
Because he’s implying that we played the same team that barely beat Chicago State when he knows damn well they brought back 3 contributing players since then. Anyone could see they were a decent team.
And I didn’t see it as them “falling back to earthâ€, I saw it as us putting our foot on the gas and beating them down.
That's more of what happened. Our players simply outlasted their players at the pace they were allowing ISU to run at.
No, you're just reading that way because I happen to be a KU fan. I am implying that Illinois fans should quit complaining about their coach and be amazed that their team that has been decimated by injuries has done as well as they have this year. Players are either still missing or have missed the vast majority of their offseason practice. That they have any continuity at all is a pretty clear indication that their coach is doing a great job.
Even their team chaplain blew out his achilles in the offseason. It's been insane over there. They have guys coming back but they are WAY behind other teams since so many of their players have missed so many practices. This really isn't as complicated or controversial as you guys are trying to make it. This isn't a knock on ISU. I watched most of the game; ISU looked good to me. Settle down, guys.
