If the CEO was known to be a genuinely good person, yes, there should be respect for their personal life.

Pollard has some decisions to make but he doesn't need some random website to do it.
Is a website asking for somebody's job any different than you guys posting on the forum "What to do with Steve Prohm"? I guess I don't get the difference on that one and how it personally attacks his family....

Folks need to take the emotion out of it. The program is 25 million in debt, which they need to pay over 20 years and does not include the interest. Plus CMC and the entire football staff is about to get a massive pay increase. How can the program afford the buyout. Even at the best the basketball program does not bring the money football brings. I would give it another year.

You should call Jamie and ask if he wants to pay $10,000 for it before the website goes up.

So is this like Jamie has his own secret website that requests to fire him, or he is just paying to keep it off the web?

What if its just simply statistics since Steve Prohm's tenure at Iowa State?

Example - Tonight was the second worst non-conference loss in school history

You mean a forum on a free website that hosts an array of topics that you have to search through instead of just one site based on a sole purpose?

I get that, but if you don't think the players/coaches aren't on Cyclone Fanatic forums, then you are naive.

I feel bad for families of guys like Prohm. I mean he is trying and deserves to be let go but geesh can you imagine some moron starting a website dedicated to getting you fired? Getting fired already sucks, then for relatives and so on to know a website exists to get you fired. That’s terrible

If my dad, son or I were making millions of dollars a year I wouldn't give a rat's ass. I'd be singing all the way to the bank.

The cost of not firing him will be more than the buyout.

And its not like he's gonna turn it around next year. So really the cost is the difference between firing him this year or next, which is like 1 million dollars. Small potatoes in the scale of this business.

Is that what you got from a sentence that wasn't about that at all?

I don’t support posting such a website simply on the argument that we all know it will have zero effect on the outcome. If it’s cathartic, then so be it.

The general public exercising their right to voice displeasure with the performance of an athletic coach at a public university is fair game. It’s a supply and demand industry, and the aforementioned coach gets paid ridiculously well to take on that burden. He gets paid for his very few years at a given school far beyond the amount many of the alumni and fans of that school will earn in their lifetime.

I’m sure family members won’t worry too much about their public perception or where their next meal comes from. Coaching is a tough gig and those who choose that profession have what it takes to keep their chin up and move onto the next.
