This is the exact same thing that got Rhoads in trouble. He was even worse at predictability after a turnover. I was complaining some but also curious as to why this would be a game plan. I know we have plenty of people with football savvy. Beyond wanting to prove we can run what does doing this over and over again accomplish.
The list of things that got Rhoads in trouble is long, and that’s not even on page one.

So you're saying that play predictability wasn't one of Rhoads' biggest problem? His coordinators let him down time after time. It was his job to fix that but he either wouldn't or couldn't adjust.

I've seen you say things like this before. I have to ask, do you not think Iowa is in the Midwest? Because if you ask me (and probably most people on here) Iowa is the epitome of Midwest, and Ohio barely makes the cut being as far east as you can go without being considered East Coast.

Just my Midwest opinion (even though I live in Colorado now)

So, comparing our games to Toledo vs SEC teams doesn’t support your contention.
Not as much as we need better production if we are to maximize this roster’s win total.

Just trying to explain how to consistently win in the Big 12 when we don't even have an AIRPORT!

Yes, the plays called after a TO wasn’t near the top as to why Rhoads failed here.

The runs up the middle are like body punches in boxing, 2 or 3 yards don’t look like they are doing much but it gives us time of possession and by the fourth quarter we’ve worn down the defense and we are able to run more consistently.I don’t wish injuries on anyone but it seems like the last 3 weeks I’ve seen many more injury timeouts for our opponents than for us.

This team is only a few plays/drives away from being undefeated. Trust the Process!

We won because we were able to run the ball and TT wasn't. Their freshman quarterback was put in a lot more precarious positions than our freshman quarterback because we ran the ball more with more success. There is a lot more value to running the ball consistently than the yards you gain per play. We passed approximately 33% of the time on first down and I'm guessing they were pretty successful passes with relatively low risk because the defense was expecting run. Pretty ideal mix I'd say. I guess scoring 40 isn't enough. Some of you internet geniuses should put in your OC resumes with Campbell.

Man, then McCarney was a heavyweight champ if that’s the case.
