When you have David Montgomery, 24/35 is a little LOW if anything . . .
The point still remains. And I'd like to see Kene get some more touches.
I'm neither agreeing or disagreeing with the play calling. I'm just providing detailed information for discussion. I don't care how we win.
I'm pretty sure you missed one turnover where our next play was a PAT.
Speaking of KO although great he had is share of holding calls/false starts at critical times. Obviously a beast otherwise

Yeah, we were talking at the game about so many runs up the middle. I was saying I would like to see more runs off tackle mixed in. The very next play Tech lines up on defense with a shift to ISU's right with the DE lined up on the left tackle's inside shoulder and no outside linebacker to be found on that side. I thought, "Look at all that room to run off tackle to the left side." ISU ran Montgomery right up the middle again between the center and right guard. I think a few runs off tackle might loosen things up for Montgomery on the inside.
The Rams ran a play for Gurley to ice the game yesterday afternoon against the Packers, that I think could be really well emulated by ISU and Montgomery...

I do completely disagree. I know this offense will develop only if the offensive line learns how to grind out yards. I saw an undermanned Toledo team eek out 3.4 yards on 24 carries against Arkansas and win 16-12. Threw 38 times. The throws got us the win, but the runs saved us from losing big. Just enough run play success to beat a more talented SEC team.

I can drink allot of Busch light anytime because it is cheap or I have to stay sober longer but enjoy the taste of some top shelf stuff. If you don't get my drift, I'll be more direct. CMC by attitude is leading this group for the long haul. Maybe, 'we will run the darn ball down their throats today, tomorrow, etc etc.
None of us knows what he communicates with them. We need to leave it go and TRUST THE PROCESS.

This isn’t the MAC vs SEC and banging your head against the wall until you have a hammer isn’t optimal.
So, comparing our games to Toledo vs SEC teams doesn’t support your contention.
Not as much as we need better production if we are to maximize this roster’s win total.

My apologies. I was unaware that this was already a thing. Geography must not be a point of focus there. Ohio is the potato state, right? Or is it the gem state?
We won because we were able to run the ball and TT wasn't. Their freshman quarterback was put in a lot more precarious positions than our freshman quarterback because we ran the ball more with more success. There is a lot more value to running the ball consistently than the yards you gain per play. We passed approximately 33% of the time on first down and I'm guessing they were pretty successful passes with relatively low risk because the defense was expecting run. Pretty ideal mix I'd say. I guess scoring 40 isn't enough. Some of you internet geniuses should put in your OC resumes with Campbell.
This is the exact same thing that got Rhoads in trouble. He was even worse at predictability after a turnover. I was complaining some but also curious as to why this would be a game plan. I know we have plenty of people with football savvy. Beyond wanting to prove we can run what does doing this over and over again accomplish.
