When all else fails how else can you defend keeping Rhoads.

exactly. Because I am also as incapable as all of you at running an athletic dept.
Considering the positions that are open in College Football this year, it may be best to wait after next year. Honestly, Rhoads working out is our best option, but it is going to be tough to compete this offseason with salary.
Agree. We will see what happens these last 5 games. That decides things.
CPR did say that keeping Baylor under 50 was the team's goal. Didn't mention anything about winning the game which I thought was odd.

So you've supported every move JP has made, is making, and ever will make as AD at ISU? If so, props for consistency at least.

?? When did I say that ??

I think a lot of posters on this board say fire CPR for the sake of firing him. I feel a lot of you aren't looking at the big picture. If JP feels he cannot get the person he wants or thinks we need, then he shouldn't fire him. Firing him and hiring the wrong guy or the best of whats left is not the correct move. That's why JP is the CEO of a multi million dollar business and you guys post on message boards and feel outrage. Facts.
You said:
(1) You are incapable of running an AD (but you think everyone else is too)
(2) "If JP feels he cannot get the person he wants or thinks we need, then he shouldn't fire him."
(3) "That's why JP is the CEO of a multi million dollar business and you guys post on message boards and feel outrage."
So we should always defer to JP's decisions, right? You wouldn't criticize a decision JP made as AD.
This is a fair point. But JPs business will begin to take a significant financial hit if, after another 2-10 season in 2015 we have a 2-10 season in 2016 (with Rhoads) and the job becomes even less desirable.

Essentially what you're arguing here is that JP should fire CPR regardless of the fallout of firing him. You're arguing that no matter who we get as a replacement, you're better off with that person than CPR for another season. You are incorrect and there is no 2 ways about it.
We wont have a 2-10 season this year, we wont have a 2-10 season next year, and even if we did and JP fired him and we got a new coach, stadium would be full of people excited about football. Because we are Iowa State and that's the way it works.
So now we're concerned that JP might not be capable of hiring a coach better than Rhoads?
