Speaking of Minnesota which happened first Minnesota becoming a state or Iowa State University being established? By about how long?I'm sure all of the Minnesotans are confused as to why I flew my flag today. At least I didn't have to put it out in a blizzard.

Have a state flag up in the basement on one of the walls around the ping pong table. Coolest state flag in the country IMO.Up on the wall of my man cave. Still love it, even though I hate the people who run it.
In 1845 Texas came in along with Florida. Then in 1846 Iowa came in and is generally considered to balance Texas and Wisconsin came in to balance Florida. No pairing on this one. Iowa brought the Senate closer to balance, with slave states still holding a one state advantage. Wisconsin came in next to tie things up.
There weren't really any slave state options at that point.
