Jackson isn't involved in this at all. Catch up. DeSousa and Preston are the two Kansas players allegedly involved.

I tried to warn you KU was going to have at least one guy sitting out next year if not more because of this stuff

He was earlier involved in a case that involved a drive-by shooting. Some authorities said he was cleared. Others said it was an open case. I presume that something happened between then and now that caused the warrant to be issued. Wainright's a mild-mannered kid. So, we were shocked when it first came up. But it seemed to go away. This is the first I've read. Naturally, Ku fans spend a lot of time combing police blotters, thus it's no surprise who brought it here.

Let me remind everyone of the bolded part of this quote from about a week ago. Hmmmm, Surly, who was the first one to post about these new KU allegations?

So if we paid the Houston Rockets to come to Ames and win a championship, that's fine because they'd have done it on the court?

Would that actually happen? I mean, KU still has Higgins on their side. I don't think we (the Iowa State Rockets) would even win the conference.

The idea that these schools have no idea Nike, Adidas, or UA are steering kids to them makes me giggle.

Agree. I'm sure many of you have seen the trips these shoe company's do for schools where they invite coaches and such.....i'm sure in the hotel bar conversations these arrangements are solidified.

Except they are no longer considered amateurs in the eyes of the NCAA thus ineligible so should not even be ON the court.
There is basically nothing in this post that is accurate. The only way to no longer be considered an amateur is to be paid to play basketball.

No.... it's not cheating if you coach doesn't get caught. #radonfan44
No. It's not cheating if your coach or school was unaware and not involved.

You can assume that KU/Self HAD to have known all you want but the ncaa would need to PROVE it to justify punishing them.

You sound so naive. They knew what was going on, come on, you're smarter than that. This is like saying Rick Pitino had no idea about the prostitutes

So WVU and Tech tied for first place and broke the streak assuming KU has to forfeit for playing De Sousa?

It is not like KU has not been cheating back to the days of Larry Brown.

KU is Adidas #1 payout school. Scumbags on both sides.

Right... Completely random he happens to play basketball. They paid my sister thousands for her origami talents.
If you dont understand the difference between how the ncaa views/punishes receiving impermissible benefits and how they view/punish playing the sport of basketball for money then that is on you. The information is out there if you google it.

It's 100% cheating, you're leaning on how the broken NCAA system hands out punishment. It's on you if you're really stupid enough to believe the "aw shucks, I had no idea"

Trust me....I will think that. ALL DAY. EVERY DAY.

Looking forward see how good KU can recruit on a level playing field.
